An amazing wetland site
This site was beautiful! The abundance of flora and fauna along with the location of the site itself really gave my fiancé and I a great Labor day outing. There was a fire pit and firewood already stationed at the site, and Wade was very kind to us and our dogs! The site itself was stationed near a creek which seemed to connect with a large portion of wetland - thankfully there were not as many bugs as I thought there would be! Will certainly recommend to anyone who wants a day with nature!
Great tucked away camp site
Wade was super kind and welcoming. The camp site was perfect for the trip we had in mind. Not only did wade have some fire wood for us he also had running water by the parking spot near his home. Back to the camping area…covered with shade from pine trees we hung out hammocks from a very small creek ran next to it and all sorts of animals making noises at night which is always exciting including owls deers frogs and who knows! We set up our camp and still had service which was cool cause we were able to play music and since it’s so tucked away no one could hear a thing. We had a blast and if I’m ever in the area I would definitely go back. Thanks Wade.
Wade was a great host and the campsite was very nice — right along the creek in the shade. It’s a short walk and he even let us use the four wheeler to haul our stuff to the campsite, so it worked out perfectly. All around a great little spot!
Great spot, great dude
Wade has a great spot. He has chickens running around and a very friendly dog. Wade was very hospitable, and we talked for a while.
It’s a bit of a hike to the camp spot, with blackberries along the way. Wade cleared out a spot next to a small creek. There is a campfire, and room for a few tents. We had a great night, and slept fine.
We would definitely go back.
Thoughtful and attentive
Wade was flexible, responsive, and accommodating. The trail was well groomed and he was willing to look up the forecast to give me a sense of the incoming thunderstorm. Very willing to make an effort to make me comfortable. Plus it is so close to Beaver Creek Reserve! Would definitely stay again if I was in the area. Did I mention that he even yook the effort to get a fire permit for me despite the recent drought?! So nice!
Exactly what i wanted
Wade was a very welcoming and helpful host. When we arrived he explained the process and offered to bring our supplies to our site with his four wheeler. Luckily we only had one trip of our stuff, second trip being our dog. He mentioned we could go anywhere on the property and showed us a trail that led to a secluded spot next to a creek. Since we were the first stay, he mentioned he’s preparing other spots and trails for future guests. His property was exactly what we had in mind for tent camping that night. We were in a perfect spot with no one in sight (I’m not a fan of campgrounds - I enjoy real camping) and we had the night and our surroundings to ourselves. We arrived as the sun set and left in the morning for fishing opener. It was the perfect place to hitch a tent and appreciate the outdoors. We definitely plan to come back here again. The best part is he is open to guests having fun and doing as they please, with respect of course.
