Purple Site

This site is special and unusual in that it is inside the city of Milwaukee on private land. We had electricity and a wonderful place to pitch our tent. We were able to drive and park our car next to our tent. They brought out a table for us to use which was nice of them.

I've been out to Chris's land at least half a dozen times. I love the forested area there. Chris, as always was extremely accommodating. I had everything that I needed. I love being there in all of the seasons. I plan on going back again soon. There is room for everyone. You do hear some city sounds. There's an airport nearby. So you do hear small planes flying overhead sometimes. And you hear trains going by. And yet you feel you're still secluded within the woods. I have often seen wild turkeys, and deer. Pretty sure I heard a bobcat during my winter camping there. But as always, I feel safe.

I have been out by Chris, I don't know, at least half a dozen times. Starting to feel like it's my home away from home. I keep having to introduce myself to the dogs, who greet me with wagging tails. Chris and Michaela were very accommodating. I will definitely go and rent the same space again. It's winter. It was cold. And Michaela checked on me. Which I appreciated. Even though the cold was a challenge, Chris's land is beautiful, and I always enjoy the relative silence and escape from City Life.

Chris was ptompt and concise with infomation needed and accomedation of my possible needs. If you are visiting Milwaukee this is a perfect spot to HipCamp.

It was my first time using Hipcamp and I couldn’t have been more pleased! I would 10/10 recommend staying here and will be back myself in the future.

Always great! Easy to get to. The trails in the back are always packed with wild birds and deer! But its close enough if you need to grab something, theres stores close by. Whole family, including the dogs, are super friendly!

Had an amazing stay. The campsite was so comfortable and the host was very responsive and kind the whole time. We will definitely be back.

our stay there was perfect. since we attended a festival nearby we got to the camp very very late but despite the late hour they were generous to come out and show us the place where we were staying and got us wood and more stuff we needed. We really appreciated it. the owner was really nice and welcoming. since they already had a tent it was a very convenient. we would definitely be back. thank you

Our family stayed here for the weekend for summerfest. We have never been to Milwaukee before so didn't know what to expect from a hip camp so close to the city. (22 mins to concert grounds) We we’re very pleased with the sites available and the short walk to where we could park the car. The sites were pretty spacious and wooded and although we could see other campers private enough to where noise was not an issue. The host promptly brought us on a little tour and got our firewood we ordered along with some games and darts the kids could use during our stay. The kids absolutely had a blast on the zipline and playing darts and walking the trails.
