The host, Daniel is a really nice guy and was very accommodating. He brought us firewood, respected physical distancing, and gave us great suggestions on swimming spots, of which there are many. The trail behind the campsite is a bit rugged and unclear in spots but has a really pretty view over the river. Campsite itself has pretty views even though it is next to a country highway. We didn’t hear much traffic after dark, and during the day it was only occasional. You can hike a short route to the river from the site, across from a boat take-out, though the campsite side is a bit steep. Really well positioned for getting to hiking and river spots. There is a big grassy section between the site and the road, great for dogs as long as they’re not likely to wander too far. We will definitely go back, great experience in an area with lots of fun and beautiful outdoor spots!
