As we arrived at the gate we were greeted by the friendly duo, Vic and his dog Beauty. We were showed the way to our campsite which sits beautifully under the shades of scattered gumtrees. The kids were spotting the kookaburra’s laugh at the backdrop of beautiful sunset over the paddock. During the night the fire pit kept us warm and toasty while we gazed at the magnificent night sky, covered in stardust which is a rare gem for us from the city.
Vic has a few campsites to choose from. We picked Willy Wagtail as it was closer to the toilets which was convenient with the kids. The toilet was very clean. The next morning we managed to visit Vic’s other campsites that sit among the bushland and they were covered in wild flowers! Thanks Vic for a great weekend getaway with the kids. It was simply wonderful. We shall be back!

Thank you Janet for a thoughtful review. This site on the farm yard was indeed created for people with needs just like yours: a beautiful treed spot full of birdlife but still close to everything.

Willie Wagtail was the most unpleasant campsite I have ever visited. It was situated near an old house and a series of decrepit farm sheds, surrounded by decaying farm machinery and empty chemical containers. The 'welcome' pamphlet included a 2 page list of rules, mostly concerning use of the toilets. I looked inside the toilet block and was overwhelmed with the smell of backed-up sewage. We had already paid $44 for a single night which is very steep for a site with no power or shower. There were no redeeming features, my partner and I left after half an hour, opting to spend the night at a roadside pull-over.

Once former PM John Howard was attacked over the ABC by a unpleasant, ignorant person who clearly didn't do his research. All Mr. Howard said was ' I will say nothing, because no matter what I say he will not vote for me.

A beautiful peaceful spot for a solo female traveller. So many different camp site options to choose from. Walked the bush areas to check out and found all to be really spacious and private. Perfect for authentic bush camping experience with the option of flushing toilets and fire pits. A safe place for solo women campers.
Vic made me very welcome and gave advice on things to explore in the area. A real gem!

Just returned home from our delightful trip. We ended up here, after being underwhelmed by our originally booked place, & we were so happy to arrive & be greeted by the friendly, welcoming and helpful Vic. We did the walk around the property early one morning, which was really very pretty, well marked out & an enjoyable way to build our appetite. The sight was charming, enough trees to be shady and a pretty view for sun set, the bird song just splendid, a great fire pit for cooking to. Beautiful wildflowers along Boxhall road near by, a great place to explore the Bindoon/chittering/Moora area, & have a lovely place to return to after a long day. We’ll certainly be back to explore further and try out one of the other camp spots which look well set out & some good features being added (water/Toilet) Thank you Vic and Co. :)
