We arrived at the campsite which was a beautiful setting for a night of camping- very secluded and quiet. I discovered I’d left plates, cups and, most importantly, coffee at home. VIC sorted this out within the hour and all that was left for us to do was sit back and enjoy a night of campfire, board games and serenity. Highly recommend this place.
Lovely bush retreat close to Perth, with very clean flushing toilet for those in need. Good space between campsites.

We loved camping at Magpie ! Our group plus 3 dogs had an excellent bush camping experience. The site was decent distance from other campers which gave a good sense of privacy - we loved the shaded trees and the highlight was the fire pit. Such a great feature of al the sites on this property.
The toilet on the farm was an added bonus - and we really enjoyed walk-in fb around the block and exploring with our dogs and friends.
Vic was a lovely and welcoming host and we’ll definitely be back to explore other sites on the farm - perfect for romantic couple getaways or big groups.
We loved camping at Magpie Bush Site! The site was well spaced away from other campers and those closer by were separated by pockets of bush and trees.
The tree cover provided great shelter for our camp and there was more than enough room for 10 of us and 3 dogs.
We enjoyed walking around the farm with our dogs and checking out the bush - and the highlight was being able to safely have a campfire every night in the fire pit.
The host was friendly and welcoming - directions were clear and helpful. The toilet on site was an absolute bonus luxury. We’ll be back to check out other camp sites on the farm !
Thanks Vic !
Had a lovely two-night stay at Magpie on Jabez Farm. Vic is a gracious host and his communication is first rate, answering any questions promptly. Detailed directions were provided and the self-check-in was simple, as was following the map provided to discover our site.
The Magpie site itself is tucked away in a little bush corner. A pretty, quiet spot, with plenty of shade and lots of bird life. A fire pit was ready for use and Vic provides firewood for purchase on request. He also came to the rescue lending us quilts and blankets when we realised we’d forgotten a sleeping bag in our rush and the clear nights definitely had a chill in the air! He made sure we were settled and after a friendly chat (and a pat of the dog) left us to enjoy our camp.
The Magpie site is probably the furthest from the flushing toilet, but it was an easy 5-minute walk through a bush path.
Jabez Farm has a number of sites available dependent on your needs as a camper, and group size. Would definitely recommend a stay if looking for a hassle-free getaway an easy drive from the Perth metro area.
