Elkhorn Inn & Theatre Camp

The land is on our property, next to the Elkhorn Inn, which is on Route 52, in Landgraff, WV (between the towns of Eckman, and Kimball, WV). The area includes our garden, and is on Elkhorn Creek, and has a view of the passing trains (the Norfolk Southern "Pocahontas" line), which makes it very popular with railfan guests!

We are in the mountains of McDowell County, which is known for having the best ATV trails in the eastern USA! There are 100s of miles of FREE trails in our county, as well as the famed "Hatfield-McCoy Trail System" trails, and as it is legal to ride ATVs on the roads here, you can ride your ATV from the Inn right to the trails!. There is great trout fishing (fly-fishing and regular fishing) on Elkhorn Creek, right behind the Inn, which has been called "the best wild trout stream in the USA" by Trout Unlimited members, and world-class railfanning, too- the Elkhorn Inn was called "the best legal train-watching location in the USA" in Railfan and Railroad Magazine!

Other area fun includes hiking at a State Park and State Forest, a fun mountain golf course (9 holes and a cart for 2 people is only $22, and you can ride your ATV to the golf course!), two nearby lakes, gorgeous leaf-pepping in the fall, and numerous historic sites to visit, including Bramwell, Coalwood, Welch, Kimball, War, etc.
