Excellent laid back place, they let you do your own thing. I love Thomas and Davis, the hippy arts towns nears by. Great music at the Purple Fiddle. Had a blast swimming in the river. I would recommend wearing a life preserver and old pair of snickers.

This may be my favorite place to camp EVER! Beautiful scenery, activities on the river, and easy access to nearby hiking trails and site seeing such as Blackwater Falls. The sites are really nice; you can tell how much work and love has been put into them. And it is evident how much Vince loves this place. He is a fantastic host, very friendly and accommodating. When we first got there we were the only campers; it had been raining a lot and we had planned on tent camping, but on the way there, he offered us an upgrade to a cabin and I am SO GLAD we took him up on it! The cabins are so nice (be sure to bring a comfy sleeping pad) and a great way to enjoy primitive camping with more stable, dry sleeping place. We will definitely be coming back soon and planning a stay in the cabins!

Animal friendly! Our dog Baxter loved hanging out in the woods and playing in the river!Plenty of room for supplies with 4 bunks. Very clean and well-built.The cabins are so cute, well-built, and cozy! And tin roofs to listen to the rain!

Vince has been very hospitable, very polite, well mannered, and all around really nice guy. The campground is amazing. It’s exactly what the the hubby and I needed to get back in touch with nature. Beautiful scenery, close river access, several water holes for the kids to have fun. The hubby and I booked our trip the day we left, didn’t have a problem through the website, Vince was concerned about the rain and offered or more than one occasion to give us one of his cabins at no extra charge, which we declined. Thank you very much for the offer. He comes around regularly to make sure we’re doing alright and if we need anything, just to say hello and even invited us to the friendly cookout. I will be back to this wonderful place in August. We love this place and I am sure the kids will too. Thank you Vince.

Great having you both for a whole week, esp. during the camp infancy in opening so recently. Look forward to seeing you both again in the future.... it will only get better but stay firmly grounded in a nature centered camp.
