Zahn Beach
I want to be fair to Jeff, he has an awesome property right next to the river. And I can see how it could be a great place.
In that I never spoke or even was able to message with him, I hope he’s ok wherever he is.
That said…
He never responded to messages before or after. No one was present when we arrived to check us in. Property looked abandoned and pretty much borders a junk yard. Didn’t feel safe so we left after finding another spot in the area. When I arrived I realized I forgot to pack my pistol for the trip. Not saying we weren’t safe, just didn’t feel safe.
Hope improvements can be made here.

This property is easy to find and in a great location. Perfect spot to set up a tent and enjoy the river. There was access to portable toilet and water.

Good spot in a pinch
Like the title says that is a good spot in a pinch. I will say I think the directions to get to the place could be a little clearer. I had to call him to make sure I was going to the correct spot. Even just adding a little sign on the driveway would be very helpful. I will also say the place has a lot of potential if the owner did just a tiny fit of work into cleaning up and better better distinguished sites.

Friendly and very accommodating camp host. Stayed as a half way point for Cascade Scenic Loop Drive.
Would use again! Very quiet stay right by the river!

Zahn Beach
This has got the potential to be an amazing site. The location next to the river (we did have a swim!) is amazing, the toilet was spotless and the host was really friendly. The site could do with a bit of a tidy up and when the personal circumstances of the host allows I'm sure it will be. In the meantime, enjoy the setting, privacy and the river. We enjoyed our night here very much.

Zahn Beach
The campsite we stayed in was rustic, but very nice. It was close to the river and set in the orchard. It was a short drive to our hikes and to the other towns. We had a great time.
