Lovely little campground. The sites are well spaced, we didn't see any of the other guests during our stay. The site is nestled right along the little wind river, and was a short walk to the hot springs. We hit a weird hatch and had to spend the evening in our van to avoid being covered in bugs, which wasn't a huge deal for us. The walk to the springs is short, but lots of sharp rocks so we probably should have not worn crocs to get there. Also there were some nudie men in the springs when we arrived, so keep that in mind if you're bringing kiddos.

We had an amazing time at this lovely campsite! So peaceful and absolutely beautiful. Often times we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. I hiked some of the trails and found a cool little swing! Everything was pretty clean and the portapotty was actually very nice and clean as well.
We also loved the natural hot springs, only found one, but it was skin tingling delightful. Plus it was awesome to have the chilly river to dip into as well. I definitely plan on returning to find the other pools and maybe even hike to the waterfall! Wonderful time all around.

Loved it! Our large tent was a little big for the platform and there isn't enough level space to put it anywhere else but we made it work. We previously stayed at Eagles Nest and loved that too but Little Island made life easy since we could bring our camp kitchen and a cooler. The hot spring did not disappoint and it was so hot out that we swam in the river for hours. Can't wait to come back.

This spot is beautiful! Right by the water, private and quiet. 15-20 min walk to hot springs. We had an amazing time in this magical spot.

We didn’t use the deck bc of its proximity to porta potty but there was plenty of space to hang out and perfect weather for lots of river dips!

Absolutely gorgeous! Lovely stream running through our campsite. Short walk to the hot springs. Hardly heard or saw a soul the whole time we were there. The river is the clearest I’ve ever seen. My daughter and I really loved our time here! Highly recommended

This spot was ideal for us, as we have a 7 year old kiddo and the platform enabled us to get a bird’s eye view while he played in the shallow river. Very peaceful and honestly one of the best Hipcamps I’ve visited. I do have to say, the price has been raised since I first booked, and even knowing how fabulous of a spot this is, I likely wouldn’t book again because of that. I’m not saying it’s not worth it! It’s just A LOT to spend for camping. Be ready for an adventure finding the hot springs! I completely get why it’s kept so secretive as far as the exact location, but if you’re spending $100 per night to camp near a hot spring it would be a huge bummer to not find it! I hope I have to opportunity to visit in the future, perhaps in the group camp.

Thanks for the review, but the pricing for what you get land, amount of people (6), and additional cars with access and landing is still very reasonable. Add cars and extra people to typical campsites and you will get close to the same price without the privacy, nor the hiking system and other features that are not available anywhere else. Plus, you will most likely be staying next to someone playing the music you don't want to listen to... Just saying! 8) 6 Campers divided by 100 is still only 16.00 a camper. PRETTY CHEAP IF YOU ASK ME.... Plus if you live in PDX you save twice the amount of GAS... HAHAHA All add up in the end... Happy Camping! Chris WWR 5th Season Camp Host.

Such a lovely little oasis! This campsite is peaceful with sounds of the babbling brook running through the edge of the site. The port o potty is clean and well maintained and close to the site. There was even an axe and some firewood provided! The hot spring is a short walk away but definitely wear shoes with traction as the rocks are hard to climb over, and be sure to bring sandals to wade into the river because the bottom is rocky!
