Do not use Google maps or Siri GPS it is the wrong location and you WILL get lost if you do not use HipCamp issued instructions. Public GPS for Willow Creek Retreat does not take you to our property, just to a field nearby. I am not able to answer texts, calls or messages after 9 pm.
If you booked and arrived after 9 pm just come on in and make yourself at home.
Willow Creek Retreat is a private country retreat situated on a 20 acre farmstead on the West Plains of Spokane County, conveniently located 5 minutes from the Spokane International Airport and I90 or SR 2. Willow Creek Retreat features plenty of trees and a year round creek, with wildflowers in abundance until early July. Boasting shaded camp sites near a babbling creek, bird songs and bird watching opportunities including blue heron, hawks, great horned owl, quail, ducks, turkeys, pheasants, and the creek chock full of frogs for the kids to catch and beautiful horses watch graze and gallop through the fields. You can even book a horse experience as an extra including grooming, riding and feeding treats.
Our guests love that we are off leash pet friendly as long as the pups are obedient. Enjoy 5 acres to roam with your energetic canine companions, we encourage it!
Each evening, listen to the coyotes howl, the owls hoot, crickets chirp, roosters crow, turkey gobble, and frogs croak (in spring/early summer) and the gentle ambling of the occasional short train that crosses the track on the nearby spur.
Willow Creek Retreat is a great place for a camp reunion, families wanting to get their kids into nature, fall bird hunting or a romantic country get away. Bring a tent or vehicle to camp in, easy access off county maintained road.
Visit Medical Lake 5 miles away for a swim at Waterfront Park or Coney Park and enjoy the lakeside bike/hiking trail.

Host was quick to respond to our texts! It is a beautiful site, peaceful and serene. We arrived and was instantly met by their friendly cat, Puma! Thanks for sharing your place! We highly recommend staying here and it’s not far from I-90.
Arrived late traveling a long way and was fortunate they had a space. The directions were clear and accurate, follow them with the signs. In the morning I was greeted by a beautiful willow and a very friendly black cat. It was a quiet and relaxing space with some ponies in a fenced area nearby. One interesting thing was at night, somewhere in town, Taps was played over the intercom and was echoing out in the field. It was followed by a symphony of dogs and coyotes. So interesting lol and random. Would reccomend 😀
Great place to pitch a tent for the night. It’s quiet and the sites are spread out so you’re not right next to anybody. The host Rachel was very nice and came over and said hi to us. There’s horses right by the camp which is really beautiful! We definitely recommend the spot
The google and the host directions were correct. The communication was excellent. The site was quiet and safe. It was exactly what we were looking for. The porter potty looked to be serviced every 10 days, it didn't smell at all. Good overnight parking spot.
This was our best Hipcamp stay to-date. You can tell the hosts have very intentionally set up the property and everything is just as described and well-maintained. We loved the hammocks at the deluxe site and really enjoyed playing with the affectionate cats and sweet dog.
This was a wonderful, peaceful place to camp for the night!
Such a lovely place to relax. Host was very hospitable! Loved the cows and horses.n Just a great place!
The area was so beautiful, even with 40+ mph winds and a chill in the air! We were able to put our tent safely away from the trees, but still enjoy the view. I snuggled into the hammock with my sleeping bag at sunset and it was such a joy to look over and see the horses eating around the creek, glowing in the light.
We did the farm tour with my 1 and 6 year old, and my 6 year old is still saying how amazing it was. My 1 year old keeps asking, “Cow? Cat?” and wanting to see them. :)
I wouldn’t call it deluxe. It was a ok stop over one night stand. One portable potty. Really. It’s a little overpriced for what was offered.

Deluxe compared to simple sites which are nothing but a grassy space. These sites have a picnic table and personal fire pit. I only have 2, priced based on supply vs demand. Camping is very trendy right now.

That's the Air Force Base they play taps at 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, Star spangled banner at 5:00 p.m. and reveille at 7:00 a.m. Kinda neat! Reminiscent of summer camp.
