Wonderful experience! We were greeted, with fresh cherries and huckleberries, as well as a slobbery hello from Thor the guard dog. (He was very was respectful of our space and our dog, and a huge sweetie)
I wasn't sure if the pictures were showing the potential, or the actual set up, so I showed up with my hammock and fire pit in tow, which I absolutely didn't need.
All you need to bring is yourself, your bedding and tent, and food to cook over a fire. Everything else is there!
There's wood, a fire pit, tables, log stumps to sit on, rakes for your tent area, lights showing where the bathroom is, multiple swings and other child entertainment readily available (built by the host's very talented kiddos, so use at your own risk of course) as well as tp, soap and water in the bathroom area.
I did share my suggestions for the bathroom set up, but it was great to have a "real" toilet available, that wasn't a stinky black abyss into the ground. Unfortunately it did get a lil full by the end with the 7 bodies we had.
The campsite was clean, spacious and quiet(a lil road traffic noise, but nothing horrible, if I wasn't already awake, I probably wouldn't have noticed) with clear boundaries that still allows for exploring.
An absolutely wonderful experience, and we plan to visit again
I loved tent camping on Sonia’s land! The views were beautiful, flowers everywhere, absolutely lovely stay. My kids loved building a small fire and it was a peaceful night with a sky full of stars. Highly recommend
