Valahalla cabin life = living
This is the best experience we had in such a long time. Dave and his Ohana (family) are such great hosts. The cabin experience is perfect. A cabin next to such a huge mountain amongst tall trees and a stream. I would definitely recommend coming here! In fact we plan on coming back bringing family and friends. Mahalo nui loa and aloha Dave. Malama Pono i’a oe (take care)
We did the lookout Rock hike first, it was a great veiw. It was really cool to see the light that night and realize how far up we'd really gone. We did all the hikes aside from spring and really enjoyed them, the church was a cool little sight to see. Gotta say the outdoor shower was one of my favorite parts, nice and hot and so serene. The wood bundle was more than enough and the cabin was adequate to sleep in, we doubled up the foam mats onto one bunk and that was pretty comfortable, but if I go back with a group I'll bring extra padding next time. That said I have a back issues so many would be happy with the provided padding. We saw a wide variety of different butterflies, a bright green frog, tons of birds, and dragonflies. The next day we did the lime kiln trail hike nearby which was exelent and not too long, we visited Lylas cafe in granite falls, the prices were great and everything tasted awesome would recommend. We really enjoyed our time at the Valhalla tree farm.
Perfect family camping spot
Absolutely loved this place - we want to make an annual tradition of camping here! We had a camper van and a tent (2 families) and loved how the kids could play safely around the creek nearby. Such a beautiful property!
Excellent secluded spot away from it all but close to it all. Everything you could possibly need for a weekend get away in the woods, in a beautiful spot. Wildlife abounds, the river runs by perfect for soaking tired feet after a days hiking, I really can’t fault it. Recommended.
Beautiful and private! The other campsites had folks staying in them, but we only knew that because we saw them when we drove in--we didn't see or hear anyone else our whole stay!
There are fun trails to explore, the cabin was clean and cozy with the fireplace. It rained off and on while we were there, so it helped us stay warm and dry. We loved it, and so did our dogs. Perfect glamping get away!
Secluded, huge site.
This is our favorite Hipcamp spot and our third time here. The site is huge and perfect for kids to explore. While we have always slept in a tent, the cabin is super cute and turned out to be very helpful with the cold and rain this weekend! Gorgeous property!
