A perfect, relaxing pnw destination
Kevin has an amazing set up with a couple of cute cabins, unexpected & welcome amenities, open space, a phenomenal waterfront location, and he is a thoughtful and fun host.
My husband and I had the place to ourselves for Labor Day weekend. We were super surprised that there is a mini fridge available for us to use! We really appreciated having access to a flushing toilet and a hot shower!
It was really fun and fascinating to learn about oyster farming from Kevin and he taught us how to shuck oysters. His are kayaks available for use and Kevin is super welcoming about letting you use any of the toys and furniture he has in his yard.
A couple of times we almost got in the kayak but we spent the weekend soaking in the view, relaxing on the swing chair, and getting a lot of reading done. Bring a pair of binoculars because there are sea lions, harbor seals, sea otters, deer, and if you’re really lucky you might spot a whale!
This spot is a total PNW gem and Kevin is so gracious to open up his home and share it with people. 10/10 experience
The property is small but had everything we needed. It's a short walk to the bathroom with a warm shower. Situated by the water, we kayaked with seals and enjoyed a gorgeous sunset. Kevin is a shellfish farmer. The piece de la resistance was having clams and freshly shucked oysters prepared by Kevin, and the most delicious freshly picked blackberries.
Treasure Cove Oyster Camp was an adventure! Kevin was a delight to get to know, and his oysters were scrumptious. The cabin was very comfortable, enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and the indoor bathroom. Hot showers felt great. Kayaking was fun, also floating on the blowup armchair, and watching the seals club onto the dock in the bay.
Once again, Kevin is an amazing host. This is my second time here at Kevin's oyster farm. He made sure we had everything we needed and even showed up how to shuck oysters. Even after a night of beers and oysters, he was up early to harvest oysters for us the next morning. Def book with Kevin and you will not be disappointed!
Kevin's spot is very magical! My partner, son (28 months) and I took his kayaks and floatie out morning, noon and night:D Late afternoon we saw seals swimming nearby..and the water got warmer as the day stretched on. Kevin was awesome in letting us rent out the whole place (we were nervous with our son.) We ended up leaving a day earlier- because of our son haha (he is still getting used to overnights,) but we had a blast otherwise. Each cabin is cozy and feels like summer camp. There is a grill/cooler/fridge to use...fire pit/picnic tables..Kevin really has thought of everything..Ac/fans etc. We also drove out (about 45 min) to Lake Cushman, which was really fun. All-in-all great trip..hope to do it again and will definitely try to head back with friends or fam. Also, Kevin gave us a whole bag of oysters on our way out. We grilled them and ate some raw when we got home and they were delicious:) Thank you Kevin!
Birthday weekend at oyster cove
Our group had an incredible time here . I rented both cabins so our group could have the whole space for my 30th birthday . Kevin greeted us with oysters and all the info we needed to get straight to the fun. I especially appreciated the fencing all around the yard so our 4 dogs in our group could run free while we were out on the water or cooking. Would come back or recommend for everything and especially the location, hospitality and nice amenities while still camping.
We had so much fun at Treasure Cove. We lucked out and had the place to ourselves, there was plenty of space and I didn’t realize that one of the cabins had 2 queen beds so that was a nice surprise. Kevin was on-site and he was available if we needed him but gave us our space as well. We loved our fireside oyster tasting/lesson and learning all about the oysters and Kevin’s business story was so fascinating. The water was perfect and we even saw orcas!
Fun and relaxing
The oyster farm is right on the water with a rocky beach at low tide - it was so nice to get in the cool water on a superhot day. Kevin let us borrow his two sit-on-top kayaks, which we paddled to the nearby marina to see the mama seal and her pup! Also did a sunset paddle to see the stunning pink sunset on Mt. Rainer. Kevin is such a charming host; he let us use his grill to cook our dinner and he even gave us a laser light show!
