This is a hidden gem! Very beautiful private open RV and Trailer Site on the Skagit River. There are two available hookups to use if you have another family going with you. Gradual slope down to the water to soak your feet in. Nice big fire pit as well as a log picnic table. Lots of room to lounge around and enjoy the peace and quiet. Watch the eagle and fish on the river as you sit by the campfire. Kayak down the river from RockPort bridge and pull out right at camp. It's about a two and half hour float down with a Kayak right to camp. I do not recommend inner tubes or other floating devices though. Close drive to Baker Lake for the day to hike or sight see. An hour or so away from North Cascade Hwy passes. Or if you feel like a drive, head to Winthrop for the day and walk the town. Fishing can be done right at the site or a short walk to the point. Check the fishing regulations for the time of year you want to fish. You will not be disappointed with this site and location. Reservations are for both hook ups and the entire lot on the river. /p> This booking you must have an RV. There is no tent camping unless you have an RV. Please read Accommodations before booking for All hookups.. No more than two RVs unless it has been approved otherwise. There is a strict cancelation policy. Please review it before booking.

A quiet and relaxing getaway
We were the first non-family members that rented this site from 5/11/2020 through 5/14/2020. The campground will not be for rent during winter season after September 30. Two connection sites are available. We chose #2 and parked our travel trailer with the large rear window facing the river. Some minor leveling was required. There is plenty of space to accommodate a group of up to 12 people, as advertised.
It’s a clearing in the woods, right on the north bank of Skagit River opposite to a long stretched sand/gravel bank in the south half of the river. Facing the river, on the left side is an empty lot. Beyond that, on the next lot some RVs can be seen, but no sound from there. On the right side is just forest. Very quiet here. The only sound, beside birds and the strong current of the river, comes from an occasional vehicle driving on a smaller road on the other side of the river.
Cellular coverage is very flaky. 1 bar for 1-2 minutes about every half hour. Sometimes nothing for a few hours. (T-mobile) No WiFi either. Don't think about streaming movies! The electrical hook-up is 50 Amp only. For our 30 Amp rig, we used our converter. Next time we will also bring our own water as the available well water contains more iron than we would like. Your mileage may vary! Garbage has to be taken home.
We are a retirement aged couple and enjoyed our stay there very much, reading books, sitting around the campfire, or just going for a stroll. There is also a nice trail through the woods with other viewpoints over the river and even Mt. Baker. A family of Canada geese came to visit us a few times. It feels like far away from civilization surrounded by nature, although the nearest Red Apple Market is only minutes away.
We will be back for another three nights end of July.
Better than expected
Camped her with my wife and 2 kids. It was absolutely perfect. Very secluded and the views are amazing. It’s a short drive to town, and close to the North Cascades and Baker lake. There is a hiking trail on the property that will take you along the Skagit River. Adam was an awesome host and we can’t wait to return.
The Rivers Edge exceeded our expectations! Our kids had a great time on the tire swing and Adam recommended we bring a couple of hammocks and I’m so glad we did! There are a couple of places to hook your hammocks to which added to the fun. Make sure to do the little hike to the beach as it was beautiful and had a view of Mt Baker. We had a fantastic time and look forward to coming back again!
