Well spaced, neat campground
The walk in sites are fun , especially, for the kids to meander and play. The sites were spaced far enough apart. It's a good idea to bring your own drinking water, but there is a non potable sink for dishes. The iron griddles over the firepits were appreciated for cooking. It is under lots of trees next to a beautiful river. I would go back.
Peaceful, private, and by the river
Our stay was wonderful. We picked site 17 and had no neighbors -- site 17 is on one end of the campground so it only has neighbors on one side, when booked.
Rachel was a great host, she made sure we had everything we needed and made a recommendation for us to visit the hatchery.
The campsite was large for at least 3 tents, had a new and very convenient grill on top of the fire pit, and the river runs next to the site so we went to sleep with the calming sound of water.
The campground is very close to US 101 - Olympic Discovery Trail so we drove with our bikes to Fairholme Campground and rode on one side of Lake Crescent. We'd definitely come back to this campground.
Gorgeous site with all the necessary camping amenities! There are several spots to choose from and some are right on the river. The camp ground is right next to the state fishery where you can see the little salmon fry growing up for their ocean debut as well as access the river for swimming or fishing. Overall an excellent spot perfect for opympic national park adeventures.
Wonderful, quiet and clean
Great place! Rachel and her family have created a lovely spot to jump off into Olympic NP and the coast. And the propane gas fire was a godsend. Will definitely be coming back.
Nice stay at site 6
Stayed in site 6 along the Sol Duc River and it was beautiful. Easily accommodated two tents. Nice picnic table. Portable toilets are easy to access across the road.
Great place for long weekend!
Rachel and her campground were amazing! My husband and I spent his birthday/Labor Day at a riverside spot thanks to Rachel upgrading us because the spot ended up becoming vacant last minute. She was wonderful to talk with and is very knowledgable. The sites are great, and the location was perfect for our mushrooming adventures. We'll book again soon!
Lovely spot, incredible hosts!
We had a lovely time and Rachel's hospitality is warm, thoughtful and inviting. The campsites are small-medium size: you can fit a car and a 4-person tent. The river is GORGEOUS below (you cannot access from the sites) and there is a boat launch / rocky river bank to swim in just a few minutes walking down the road. What a beautiful lush place, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
All around great campground!
Rachel is an awesome host! She is very welcoming, kind, helpful and communicative.
This is my second time staying here and definitely not the last. Each site has its own charm and privacy. Nice and quiet, and well maintained! Some things I like about this place:
-the beautiful huge trees and lush greenery
-you can park and sleep in your vehicle at the site if you’re a car camper
-short walk to river access (pretty)
-sani cans with HAND WASHING STATION (makes camping so much more enjoyable when you can actually wash your hands)
-short drive to so many beautiful beaches and nature destinations and ~15-20min to forks (gas, grocery & restaurants)
**Don’t forget to bring a gas fire pit during the ban! **
This was the quietest, most quant little campsite I’ve ever stayed in. The host was super sweet and the property was gorgeous! I can’t wait to stay here again. Highly recommend!
