Affordable family excursion
What a lovely spot! Tucked away in the forest, our luxury tents were such a joy! Our 3 teen kids fit into one while mom and dad had privacy in the other but yet we were all together at the same time! Belfair has many places to eat including outdoor BBQ and taco trucks for a COVID-friendly dining experience. Next time we are bringing our ATV’s!
A hidden gem of young families
This is definitely a hidden gem, we spend 3 day and 2 nights there and absolutely loved it. Our 3.5 yr old son was so thrilled as it was his first camping experience. This is definitely a good choice for couples with young kids. Also an added perk if you are into astrophotography, the night sky is gorgeous.
We had a wonderful time! Perfect location for outdoor activities. The hosts gave us information about where to go—perfect spots for social distancing. We would love to stay there again!
The canvas tents were great and we had a really nice time on our stay. Everything seemed very clean and like proper care was taken given the global pandemic. What would have been extremely helpful upon arrival would be receiving a map of the property, suggested trails to walk along, and information about the communal kitchen area. We didn't end up ever going there because it was packed all weekend. So I would advise bringing your own cooking stove as we did. We weren't sure if there was hiking trails on the property that we could use (that wouldn't be taken over by ATV's), so we opted to hike elsewhere. I would say this place is insanely awesome if you have a dirt bike or ATV, but I'm not sure I'd recommend someone stay who is just looking for a quiet relaxing weekend of hiking. My group did accidentally leave behind a few items and the Hosts are being AMAZING by sending them back to us in Seattle. So I'm very thankful for that!
A great place to glamp
We went to escape the fireworks by our house for 4th of July. We had a mix up with the host for our reservation based on occupancy but they were very accommodating. They provided us a cot and sleeping bag for our extra guest and it still worked out great for us. The site and location is great. The facilities were above our expectations for glamping. We really enjoyed ourselves.
This site has absolutely everything you need. You'll want to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, but I think that was the only things I noticed I'd want. They even had firewood for us, no extra charge! David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. You NEED to check this place out.
The tents are very nice and accommodating. The hosts are very friendly. There is a communal area that allows you to do all your cooking, but be sure to bring everything you need. It was also not an issue with social distancing. The bathrooms are nearby and clean. I was unsure where the showers were, though. I do think maybe a little overpriced. You also need to be aware of this being an ATV resort. It can be a bit noisy at times.
Tahuya Adventure Resort was such a cool experience! We stayed in tent number 1 which had even more space than I realized. The bed was comfy, coffee pot set with grounds for us, a heater at night, and the porch was perfect for sitting and relaxing on. They have plenty of acreage around so we just adventured around there during the day. We took advantage of the communal kitchens and propane fire pits as there was a burn ban in effect. Also...the bathrooms🙌🏼 Seriously the nicest restroom I’ve ever used during any outdoor adventure. We would love to go back once all six tents are up and ready to go!
