Site#2
Bring your tent/s and nestle in the tall pines of Deep Creek canyon. Just a 7 minute walk slightly uphill (wheelbarrow provided, and I have a golf cart that can help) on a beautiful trail to the private campsite. Cook on your own stove, bring your own tent and bedding. Relax in the hammocks. Fall asleep listening to the nearby great horned owls, distant howls of coyotes, turkeys and night-hawks, and get an idea of simple pleasures of sleeping close to the earth ( two tent spaces, one 10x10 platform, and a big flattened space with a bed of pine straw) in a beautiful pine and fir forest. We provide a private picnic table and two chairs. This site is bigger than site#1, accommodates up to 7, two tent areas, and is closer to the Far Out House. In keeping with our permaculture practices, a sawdust toilet ( exclusively for your party) is available in the Far Out House, and filtered water is onsite. Bringing bottled water is unnecessary, unless our water is turned off due to freezing temperatures at night. Check with me. A deluxe solar shower and pedestal sink keep you clean and refreshed. Sanitizer and paper towels are by the sink. We have a “pack it in pack it out” policy as well as “leave no trace.” Your hosts, however, will take care of the toilet. Daytime walks can lead you to the creek, a fairy garden, a stone labyrinth, a sweet “tea house”, yoga platform, and many meditation spots. Our 10 acres have been a delightful retreat from the busy-ness of urban life and being cooped up due to the virus.

Jane's campsite was well manicured. She was onsite to help us get to the campsite and dropped by the next day to make sure we had everything we needed. She even brought a couple bottles of bubbles for our boys to play with. What a great place to stay.
Gorgeous!! We camped at the tall pines 2 site. It was at the top of the hill, close to the beautiful and tastefully done outhouse! The lovely warm string lights in the outhouse made it so nice and comforting to sit and do business. The platform is just big enough for a 10x10 tent. We added on an additional tent set up from Jane and John to make our life a little easier for our kids. Since it was expected to rain, Jane and John also put a canopy over our pinic table. On our arrival there was a map with various stops on their property they created. For instance the fairy garden, cave and buddah bench. My kids enjoyed finding everything. It was very peaceful, just for an FYI- you can hear the train regularly but it is not very close to be bothersome. Jane brought us some eggs from her hens and they made a very delicious egg breakfast! I must say you can tell the love and care the two have put into their property and the effort put in for a lovely stay. The outhouse was cleaned daily. They welcomed us with free two bundles of wood. Too sad that the creek was dried up but we hope to stay again soon when it is just two of us. We hope to stay in their gorgeous yurt! I really have nothing negative to say. Another FYI- The place to park your car is quite the trek uphill to the site. If you're disabled make sure to arrive during daytime hours so you can enlist the help of the gracious hosts and their awesome golf cart to help you get your heavy items up there!

If you are looking for solitude, rest, opportunity for inner peace, space for personal reflection and a very gracious host, than this is the place. Jane has created a magical setting, and I look forward to returning.
This was our 2nd stay at GAEA-- we know it won't be our last! This time in addition to enjoying the peaceful camping space we explored a bit on the property. (We used Jane's helpful hand-drawn map to orient ourselves.) It was dusk and we followed the little solar fairy lights along the path to discover a freezing cold spring fed creek. It had been a hot day and we'd been stuck in the car for most of it, so it was delightful to dip our toes in the icy water and cool off before retreating to our tent.

You are always welcome here!
I had a perfect stay at this canyon paradise. The secluded campsite provided a comfortable and relaxing home, and the rest of the property is filled with fun surprises like the fairy garden. A number of other reviews used the word "magical", and it is appropriate; Jane and John have created a very special place that seemed to provide exactly what this visitor needed.
The site manages a wonderful blend of isolation in nature with the convenience of a fresh water source and the Far Out House (and its warm solar shower, a fantastic treat in the afternoon). Jane is a great communicator and host who even provided helpful information and advice about the area after learning about some of my interests. I highly recommend staying here, and I just wish I could have stayed longer!
Oh, and you simply must walk the Labyrinth!

I can’t say enough good things about Colin. He is thoughtful, respectful, a great conversationalist, and a conscientious camper. Anyone would be lucky to have this young gentleman as a guest.
This place was wonderful, and full of magical experiences. Jane let us in her property and showed us around all of the hidden gems there. She helped us with our stuff with her golf cart and was incredibly sweet. She even gave my son 2 fresh eggs from her chicken coop! We recommend this place 💯

It was a pleasure to meet and host this family. Little “ Dude” is a joyful burst of high energy, and the Moms were enthusiastic newbie campers. Good people!
We had a perfectly lovely stay at Gaea. It’s a peaceful and tranquil place with many thoughtful touches. Jane was an excellent communicator prior to our stay and greeted us warmly upon arrival. She had a golf cart to transport our gear up the short path to the tent site. There’s a hose with fresh water, a clean picnic table, hammocks and a lovely fire ring with little starters. There is even a washroom with a sink, compost toilet and solar shower. It was exceptionally clean. Thank you for a memorable stay! We hope to return someday.

Ted, you all are welcome back anytime. And Stanley was so well behaved, he can come back, too. Thanks for leaving the site spotless.
I had a great stay here with my family! Jane and John have really made a remarkable place to enjoy nature.
Staying at Jane's was such a magical and special experience, highly recommended. Jane was very easy going and helpful as we ended up staying an extra night in the tent camping spot. The land is beautiful and her and her partner have done an incredible job making it feeling welcoming yet undisturbed. If you're in the area (or not) I would recommend a stay at GAEA.
