Camp away from the city on our small, working family farm. Enjoy wonderful mountain views on grassy pastures. The open skyline away from city light pollution allows for wonderful stargazing at night to catch the meteor showers! Old growth logs and stumps show the history of the property. These sites offer the added bonus of guided tours of the farm animals and opportunities to feed and interact with them. We have deer who frequently visit each morning as well as song birds who welcome the day. In the evenings, owls and tree frogs can be heard as well as the occasional coyote. But the coyotes do not come onto the property when guests are nearby. Very close to the Stilliguamish River, Deer Creek with one of the best swimming holes around, and the White Horse trail which offers access for bikes and horses. Dogs allowed only upon notice and only on the camping area side of the property, on leash please. We will give you the tour upon arrival of the amenities. We do our very best to create an amazing stay for each guest! We are constantly improving the property as well. So each visit just gets better and better. Important things to keep in mind: We are a working farm with farm animals. The camping area is in our winter horse pasture. So the space is open and groups will be near each other. We do have kids of our own who may come to say hello or show you the trails and hidden gems of the property. If this is bothersome to you, feel free to let us know ahead of time and we will advise the kids to leave you be. We do have dogs of our own but they do not enter the camping area. Our alpacas are free roaming within our actual yard area. So you will be driving past them when coming and going.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Relaxing farm getaway
Our 12-person group stayed at Slice of Heaven for two nights and had a great time. The property is beautiful and surrounded by forest, and the owners have installed basic amenities like running water and an outhouse. The fresh eggs and rabbit meat from the farm were delicious. And we all got to ride Sedona, one of the houses. We brought a canopy (the open field doesn't have shade trees). Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time camping here. Nicole was a great host and my girls, ages 8 & 11, loved the amazing horseback ride that she took us on through the woods. We got to feed the cows treats, and my youngest got to feed an aplaca. We also enjoyed finding garter snakes in the grass and the usual camping activities. Thanks Nicole for a wonderful trip!
Great animal encounters/not private
The host was wonderful and very accommodating. We enjoyed seeing all of the animals, and petting the horses. The only drawback was that it was not private at all. The camping area is an open grass pasture, and you have a direct view of all the other campers.
I wish HipCamp had a better way for hosts to indicate privacy, like how SniffSpot does. Can you see or hear other people from your spot? Other possibilities like: dogs, farm animals, neighbors, etc. For the price, we probably would just go to a public campground.
The host was lovely, but the space was very overcrowded. When we had originally booked, there were only a couple of sites on the property but they opened up capacity a lot since we booked. Maybe this was because it was a holiday weekend, but there were over 10 groups and the couple of toilets could not keep up. The groups that were camping there were rowdy until late in the evening and quiet hours didn’t seem to be enforced. We had hoped this experience would be quieter and more private than a state campground, but that wasn’t the case. I understand they are scaling up quickly, but it seems like some of the details need to be worked out for a better guest experience. The view of the hillside was beautiful, and the owners were very hospitable. The host showed us to our site, gave us a tour of the facilities, and we were able to buy some farm fresh eggs. I think this space has a ton of potential, and hope for the best for the owners!
Perfect family weekend
This place is amazing. The owners are so kind and helpful, the accommodations (bathroom, shower) are well cared for and functional, and the setting is breathtaking. Definitely bring bug spray and allergy meds if you’re sensitive to grass and pollen. There is a beautiful swimming hole just down the road where we spent an entire day, and a general store nearby for basic necessities. Highly recommend the guided trail ride experience if you love horses! We would love to visit again in the future!
We enjoyed our stay at Slice of Heaven! Nicole is a fantastic host. It's hard to believe they've only been on Hipcamp for a month, and despite having a busy 4th of July weekend, the family made it look easy. The property itself is beautiful, and the alpacas are truly a plus. Who doesn't want to stare at a 2-week old and freshly shaved Alpaca with a jacket on?!
We decided to add on the home cooked dinner one night, and highly recommend. The rabbit chili and cornbread that Nicole made was delicious. If you've never had rabbit, definitely try it here (it's all white meat and really not crazy adventurous). We also took the rabbit butchering class and thought it was really informational (if we're going to eat it, we wanted to understand the process!).
10/10 recommend staying at Slice of Heaven! Get there early to have your pick of the best spots in the pasture :)
Relaxing, inviting and comfortable
The owners were fabulous. Helpful, non-invasive yet right there if you had a question, treated you like an old friend and made you feel welcome and comfortable.
Wonderful stay! Nicole and her family offer a friendly, welcoming stay at a working farm. The camp sites are simple, cleared sites away from the house and farm area in a pasture with views of the Cascade Mountains.
