Perfect for car camping
The spot was perfect for what we needed! A place to park our SUV for car camping for a quick weekend to Mt Rainier. We arrived around and 7:30 pm, got everything set up, had a decent sleep and then woke up to head out for our hike. The spot was quiet and private, I think I only saw one car pass by on the near by road. If you are looking for a place for boondocking outside the park, this is perfect!
Pictures are accurate for travel trailer use in quiet location. Make sure to pin location in your map app to find as there is no signage.
Hopefully developing property with grassy area to set up chairs in the future Only 1 mile from Ashford amphitheater which was our destination.
We did not meet the host, as we arrived late. But the small gravel clearing, immediately on the left as you enter the driveway, was perfect for our need for a safe, clean spot by Mt. Rainier for one night. It is off the main busier Hwy on a small side road. We could barely hear any traffic. Our van camper fit perfectly in the dry camping spot and it was nice being surrounded by trees.
Tiny spot exposed to neighbors/road
The description and photos posted were deceiving and we were very disappointed upon arrival. This spot is not at all secluded and mostly exposed to neighbors and the road about 20 ft away. Within minutes of arrival a neighbor came over to us asking questions. No mountain, lakes, or any scenic views visible from this spot. The “campable” area was barely large enough for our medium sized truck + 12 foot popup trailer.
