Bird watchers, animal and nature lovers, tree huggers, this is your spot.

Cozy camping under the Firs and Maples along the Clearwater River. Watch the elk cross, river otters play, eagles feast and these noisy birds might wake you up at dawn.

Close to the road with easy access. This is a rural residential neighborhood that spans about 4.5mi of the southern end of the Clearwater Road.   Surrounded by Hoh/Clearwater State forest,  Olympic National Park and Pacific beaches close by.

The campsites are side by side along the river on a bluff.  There is a short trail to the river at the north end of the camp.  The river has a bit of everything, deep holes, easy acess to the other side with a gravel bar for sunning.  Just downstream a rock formation creates holes and rushing water.

Campsite 1 is spacious and also has a lot of tree cover.  Campsite 2 has the most trees overall and is very cozy but less space for tents.  Campsite 3 has the most open space for sun and/or a small camper along with a cozy shaded riverside area.

15 min from Kalaloch Beaches, 30 min from Lake Quinault, 30 min from Hoh Rain Forest road, 45 min from Forks.

I can’t emphasize this enough but the LOCATION is so beautiful. Right alongside the river!! So peaceful and beautiful. And Angel was an incredibly warm and welcoming host. If you can secure a campsite here, you should!

Lovely views of the river and extremely helpful host. Very tidy camp and bathrooms! We spent downtime at Salmon Run Riverside after day hiking and exploring and it was so peaceful.

It was a very lovely location with a great view of the river. However, I had not fully comprehended that it is literally *right* off a country highway. The road was not busy at all and the camping spot generally felt private enough. However, there were big trucks carrying lumber that passed through occasionally, including in the middle of the night, waking us up...that was annoying. We really enjoyed our stay, but if I could do it again, I would pick something different like the Kalaloch national park campground.

Just as idyllic as the photos. Site #3 was perfect for van camping, with space to pull through and park between trees and the river for some privacy. The other two sites would probably be best for tent camping. Don’t worry about proximity to the road, it’s a quiet one (maybe 10 vehicles in 24 hours). Our dog loved walking around and smelling new smells. Angel came by in the morning to say hello and even gave us a dozen eggs from her chickens! Absolutely recommend camping here.
