This is the perfect spot on the Duckabush river in the heart of the Olympic National Forest. We offer a very large grass lot in a community on the river just south of Brinnon. There are two RV electricity plugins available and ample room for tents. Your stay includes access to a small cabin that opens up as a bar. The lot comes complete with a fire pit (please observe local burn restrictions) and a wheelchair accessible portable potty that is cleaned and serviced regularly. For a special touch, the sound of the river is always playing in the background. Be sure to enjoy the large open space and bring your favorite lawn toys. There is so much room to spread out and when it's time to come together, there is a well lit cabana and picnic table to share meals or play board games/cards. There is so much to do here you will want to book multiple trips to fit it all in! The river is just a few steps away and during high tide you can sit your chairs in the water and relax. Or, paddle around on your kayaks and paddle boards. You could even paddle out to the Hood Canal. During low tide, the river runs more swiftly and is better enjoyed from the beach or an experienced tuber could shoot the rapids. If you have bigger water toys, boats and jet skis can be launched at nearby public boat launches for a day on the canal. If hiking is your thing you are in luck! The Duckabush trail head is about a mile away and hosts hikers and horseback riding. The Hamma Hamma recreation area with Lena Lake hikes is just 25 minutes away and there are a host of other hikes within close proximity. There is a beautiful waterfall in Brinnon that is worth the 12 minute drive and short hike in. Dosewallips State Park and Pleasant Harbor Marina are just also just minutes away. If you don't feel like cooking and want to eat local, the Geoduck Tavern was put on the map by Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-in's and Dives. It is just a 5 minute drive and the Pleasant Harbor Marina has a restaurant on limited hours as well as a coffee shop for the die hard latte drinker. The Brinnon Elk herd travel through this area often and bed down in the park across the street. Don't be surprised if you hear them bugling at night. You will also see Bald Eagles soaring overhead and shore birds chirping as they glide along the river. Nature is calling, so book your stay and explore the Duckabush. It will be your new favorite place to visit and you will understand why we call it Paradise

Paradise on the Duckabush River
Perfect riverside camping spot in
Really lovely weekend. Communication with Lisa was prompt and helpful. Site was picturesque and even with rain, we were dry under the covered shelter. One thing to note is that although not listed, some reviews and the instructions there mention there is a refrigerator in the shed. There is not, so do back pack ice, plenty of water and coolers in!

Paradise on the Duckabush River
Third time back!
We keep returning for a reason, Lisa's Paradise on the Duckabush has become one of our favorite camp spots in Western Washington. We were lucky to experience some early Salmon runners on this most recent visit, the weather was glorious and although fishing season ended Aug 31 on the River we still enjoyed plenty of other activities and relaxing to the beautiful sounds. Spotted some bald eagles (including a juvenile) among other shorebirds/waterbirds too. Such a wonderful place to enjoy nature with comfort amenities too.

Paradise on the Duckabush River
Great location. Beautiful river. Nice hosts. Cool kitchen cabin. Clean toilet. A ton of mosquitos but that is what you should expect while camping. We really loved the covered picnic tables!! Soooo cute.

Paradise on the Duckabush River
Second time and hope to return soon
We loved Paradise on the Duckabush so much that we booked it again and came back for 5 nights this stay. My husband thoroughly enjoyed fishing the river, the Elks frequently visited the park opposite (and one morning we woke up to seeing them right outside our RV, so special) and all the thoughtful touches from our previous stay were just as great (we especially appreciated the covered gazebo area when it rained one morning). We can't wait to return!

Paradise on the Duckabush River
First ever camp trip was a success!
This place was gorgeous! Just like the pictures, but even better. This was our first ever camp trip and with 5 kids, the River was a hit. Kitchen was great to have so we didn’t have to worry about a bulky cooler with an already full car. Totally would recommend! Loved that they included some things to do because the waterfall nearby was EVERYTHING! I would say screenshot/print all check in directions and recipes in advance because there was no cell service for my husband or myself. Totally fine because we wanted to unplug but glad I had all information already on hand (ie lock box code for kitchen and portapotty) The portapotty was the cleanest any of us had ever seen. This place was truly a gem.
