Come stay in our beautiful safari tent and experience our flower farm and old-growth Maple Forest. Located in the heart of Olalla near the Colvos Passage waterway, just a short ferry ride from West Seattle, 20 minutes from Tacoma, and near the quaint town of Gig Harbor. Our beautiful camping spot offers serene privacy and many comforts. Our 5 acre parcel is partially wooded and partially cleared for our flower farm. But it adjoins neighboring properties that have an additional 20+ acres that are totally wooded giving the feeling of being further away from civilization than you are. In addition to the safari tent there is another flat and wood-chipped pad for an additional tent for your buddies or children to have their own space.

We may have the prettiest outhouse on Hipcamp! There's a lovely little bathroom with a composting toilet and a sink with running water. Enjoy an outdoor shower on the edge of the woods with on-demand hot water. You’ll also have your own custom made steel fire pit with fire wood available for purchase (or you can bring your own). We have an outdoor picnic table as well as a table inside the tent for late night card games.

Feel free to walk and enjoy the flower field on a self guided tour, but if you’d like more information about the flowers and how they are grown, or if you’d like to pick flowers, please contact us to set up a time for a guided tour and help picking. Please no U-pick without guidance.

We’d like to make sure to point out that there is convenient and dedicated parking for campers but the camping spot is about 200 feet from the parking area and over uneven ground. A cart is provided for unpacking your vehicle, but it is not possible to drive down through the flower farm to the camping location. Because it is very dark here at night, we would request that campers arrive before dark to safely find their way and unload with adequate light.

We have two very friendly dogs, two farm cats, and a herd of free-ranging ducks so we are not allowing pets to come camp at this time. Legit service dogs are welcome though.

Local Activities: Bring your kayaks and SUP boards to the Olalla boat launch for a paddle in the lagoon or walk along the beautiful beach. Come experience some great local food and fun at the Olalla Bay Market and Olalla Winery, or explore the shops, restaurants, breweries, and distilleries in downtown Gig Harbor. There are also local trails, parks, and hikes that we can recommend if you are looking for a quick day adventure. Many local, public golf courses are nearby too.

Things to bring: sleeping bag or bedding of choice, pillow, flashlights/headlamps, food, drinking water, ice, cooler.

Things provided: Weather proof tent, two twin sized cots, outdoor and indoor tables chairs, solar-powered lights, composting toilet, firepit, outdoor shower with hot water, parking for 2 cars.

NOT provided: bedding or sleeping bags, cookware, dishes, power of any kind, ice or food.

The giant tent was great. Great especially when we got unexpected rain. We we're able to bring our gear in and still have room to hang out. The bathroom area is very well done and clean. Dont miss the opportunity to take an outdoor hot shower. The hosts were welcoming and very responsive to messaging. The area has a lot of great parks and beaches to travel to.

Jodi & Aaron have created an absolutely beautiful slice of paradise in a tucked away space no one has ever heard of. Olalla is a hidden gem of friendly, family-run businesses in a canopy of greenery. Jodi's dream is to create a thriving flower farm. With colorful magic popping up throughout the season, this space will never look the same, but will always be beautifully in transition. The canvas tent is large with plenty of space to play card games with friends, build a fire, make morning breakfast with duck eggs laid a few hundred feet away. There's a cozy space for an extra tent and plenty of spots to set up yard games. The real selling point is the outdoor shower with instant heat. Although the family house is right up the hill, the shower is privately situated. It's helpful if you love animals as you may be greeted by friendly cats and corgis, along with the distant muttering of conversing ducks. While you're in the area, head over to Yoked Farmhouse Brewery, Olalla Winery, and Olalla Bay Market (opening soon!!) to put in your kayak or paddle board. When the tide is high, an entire lagoon of bird watching is available to you.
