Peaceful, private and fun!
Everett was super helpful and communicative. The spot was incredibly private and there was lots of fun to be had on the river. We enjoyed cooking on the dock, watching nature, paddling down river and swimming! The dock was a bit rickity in places and there are some exposed rolling logs. Would not recommend for small children or dogs who cannot be controlled.
River views and kayaking
A perfect gem of a campsite! Everett is helpful, friendly and communicates well. The site has an exceptional view of the Lewis River and lots of birds overhead.
Simply the best
First Hi Camp experience. Everett was out of town. Communication was awesome.
The site access can be quite the challenge for some, he made that clear, sent photos of access to make sure we are comfortable with the access. Have to backup into the site.
Had the whole place to ourselves, was greeted by his father who showed us around and was very friendly.
Use of canoe, kayaks alone was worth the price of camp.
Has 20amp service for our rv, garbage can, porta potry, hand wash station.
Fished off the docks, rainbow trout was caught.
Bit windy at times but wasn't bad. Watched the Seahawks game off the over the air antenna, tmo reception was spotty but manageable.
Everett, his father and the whole experience was unforgettable.
Wish I could just keep this place a secret but it's too nice of an experience not to share.
We are an adventuring family! We traveled across the US in 2021 amid the pandemic in our self contained travel trailer "Samantha". We seek out the amazing sunsets, wildlife, loner boats, swimming holes and sweeping views. This site was a perfect match for us. The host Everett is an amazing communicator even sent his Dad to welcome us and help us into our spot. Our daughter (9 yo) was charmed by the schools of fish that surrounded the docks. The trampoline was her everything in between casts and landing not quite keeper sized fish. The morning sun rising over the hills of the river valley are magical and apparently the farm across the river is historic. Boat watching is fun from the funky dock with so many places to sit and lounge. Although I wouldn't recommend the spot for people with mobility challenges we had an absolute blast here. Will return soon! Oh and I'm a good backer-uper and that was necessary but so worth it!
Everett was an amazing host. He's super chill and very welcoming. The property is beautiful with tons of wildlife. We really appreciated the use of all the water toys and the dock for morning coffees and sunset cocktails. I would highly recommend to all hipcampers who want a chill weekend by the river.
This was my wife and I’d 1st Hip Camp Experience, so thank you Hip Camp. This place is a boyhood and girlhood dream location I wish I could stay here for a month.. solitude and amenities and the town is close by. But mostly the fact that this place is on the water and has an unfinished dock that gives you an eclectic feel. There’s free Rowboat to use multiple Kayaks, it’s just Rad. Everette was out of town but was prompt in responding to our calls and we meet his Dad Herman who gave us run of the place super cool guy, offered us home grown tomatoes plus Rainbow Trout along the dock. Just Amanzing!!!
This was our first hip camp experience. We couldn't have asked for a better host or more idyllic surroundings. Being right on the river with the birds, jumping fish, and enjoying our coffee on the floating dock was serenely relaxing. We'll be back!!
