We had a wonderful stay at Nature Camp in mid-September. We stayed at Campsite 6, a walk-in site that is just steps from the creek. We were able to go midweek for 3 nights and we were the only ones there until Friday night, (didn’t see anyone until Saturday morning) and just loved having a quiet spot to relax for a few days. Our dog was off leash the whole time and loved it too! The campsite had plenty of room but still felt cozy. I really appreciated the plank table where I could set up my stove and cook without bending over. It had room for a two burner stove and I could still put a pot beside it. The site is quite a distance from the parking area and down a hill. We used the wheelbarrows to carry our gear and it took a little work, but it was totally worth it to be so close to the creek! We spent most of our time there. The creek has grassy banks so it felt more like a scene from Wind in the Willows than being by a mountain stream, but the water was sparkly and lovely to listen to. The land has many old and big trees on it, with a lot of variety, and we watched and listened to kingfishers, Great Horned owls, and the young eagles that had fledged that summer. I’m pretty sensitive to noise and you could hear the road, especially trucks coming up the hill, but the traffic is infrequent and the land is so peaceful it didn’t bother me. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We would love to go again!

Loved Nature Camp! Was the perfect spot to camp before the cold sets in. We stayed in lovely Campsite 4–private, spacious, under old-growth trees, and right by the creek. Restrooms were clean and fresh drinking water was provided. Owners were super nice and accommodating. Really enjoyed the farm animals. Will definitely be back again!

Absolutely loved this place!!!! So quiet so we’ll cared for the hosts are very genuine kind people with an amazing vision for their property. The animals are adorable and the bathrooms would be the envy of anyone that needs outdoor facilities. There is a respectful quiet atmosphere to relax and enjoy yourself you truly can “check out” from the hustle and bustle of life and just breathe. We will definitely go back. Almost worth a negative review to keep this secret treasure all to ourselves 😆 looking forward to next camping season!

Nature camp is just what we were seeking for early camping experience with our young daughter, we can't wait to come back! Hosts, Val and Mike, have put so much effort and consideration into their Nature Camp. The campsites are well planned, nicely spaced and it was so nice only seeing glimpses of other guests as we were looking for remote with a touch of amenities.
Speaking of amenities.....the composting toilets are beautifully built, clean and were our toddlers favorite thing to use too! (She loved putting in shaving scoops, oh the newness of toileting!)
We appreciated the ability to purchase firewood onsite and the wheelbarrows were helpful as our cart/wagon wasn't up for the hill terrain when fully loaded.
Each afternoon we explored the network of trails and thoughtfully designed spaces Val and Mike have created for their guests. From the goats, chickens and pigs to little surprise pop outs with benches and fairy lights lining the wedding bluff, there is an eye to detail that makes camping here really special and we feel so lucky they had a mid week opening for us!
Next time we'll pack a bit lighter and we can't wait to come back.

Camping here is about communing with old growth forest. It felt medicinal to watch the leaves flutter and walk on ground just barely a carpet over the massive web of roots beneath. Being able to pet the animals made my daughter so happy. The sound of the creek was all the music we needed. My daughter’s friend, who had never been camping, kept saying she never wanted to leave. Even the outhouses are beautiful. It’s a pretty magical place.
