Debbie’s place was great and she was a wonderful host. There was plenty of space for our 6 person tent and a big fire pit with tongs and dish soap to cook a great meal. There was also a folding table and chairs for us to cook and eat more comfortably. There was also access to an outlet. The bathroom was clean and sanitized, and she provided towels and robes too. There’s a main road and some small family farms nearby with a bit of noise but nothing bad. She was very kind and gave us directions to some local hikes, some fresh eggs from her chickens, and even a few cuttings from some of her many beautiful plants. Very responsive and friendly as a host.
Beautiful camp site. Big firepit, lots of wood, the bathroom is fabulous, cotton towels provided with soap and robes. Great directions, very kind, we even scored a dozen eggs from the hosts own chickens.
Awesome host! Very welcoming and accommodating. Plan on going back. One of the Best sunset I’ve seen in a while.
Great yard location beautiful landscaping. Having a bathroom was super nice. The hosts are really welcoming and helpful. Totally recommend!

Very kind, thank you!
Debbie was a fantastic host and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Between her kindness and hospitality, she is the perfect host for Hipcamp. The site had everything we needed and more to ensure that we'd have a comfortable stay while there. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone traveling in this area!

Our pleasure to have such great campers!
Debbie was very accommodating and welcoming. Very helpful with directions and responsive to questions.
Overall we loved our stay. We were trying to escape the fireworks in our city and chose this site because we only live about 25 miles away. (Sadly, there were still fireworks, but that's hardly our hosts' fault. :D) Debbie's place is akin to camping out at a favorite aunt's house where you have access to the fridge, microwave, and bathroom.
Two very minor things to note: 1) I didn't know that Veazie-Cumberland RD was a major thoroughfare or right next to their house, so the traffic noise was a bit more than expected, and 2) the spot is more sloped than I guessed from the pictures so will take a little creative planning to level your tables and the fire pit. Thankfully, they have objects that can be used as levelers.
Lest anyone read anything unintentional in these things, let me stress that I don't feel that Debbie and her husband were at all deceptive in their description. Just maybe provide a bit more detail. :)
Debbie and her husband were fantastic hosts. We felt very welcome and looked after. The site has a wonderful, HUGE maple tree with a wooden porch swing and a tire swing. The fire pit and little table for food prep are also under the maple tree and I can imagine that the shade would be a real treat on a hot summer's day. They provided a nice, long picnic table that worked well for our family dinners as well as our D&D session!
I had a couple of great meaningful conversations with Debbie, which you won't get from a park ranger. :) The family agrees that we would definitely stay here again for a quick, close getaway. Thank you!

Alway glad to have feedback to make camping a perfect experience. Thanks
Debbie was such a wonderful host! When we arrived she gave us a tour around the property. We were free to do whatever we liked with our camping spot. Debbie gave us fresh eggs, instructions to the best places to go to and even gave us a safe travel package. To top it al of there was an ice cream truck stopping by! A 10 for hospitality and the fantastic stories she told. Totally recommend.
