Best glamping cabin
This place is lovely. I've stayed in stylish places, places that were thoughtfully put together and places with pleasant hosts but it can be hard to find a place that has all the good elements combined. The Glamping cabin was all that plus a stunning vew, beautiful grounds and a charming town. Hands down my top rated glamping spot.
I can't wait to go back.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Doug's cabin Oct. 9-10. Doug was kind to send me a message a couple of days before our reservation with recommendations of restaurants and things to do in the area.
We were so impressed when we arrived. The view is beautiful, and the cabin is in a nice garden. Like other people have mentioned in their reviews, you can tell Doug was intentional about everything he put into this place. There are thoughtful little touches. It's decorated very nicely, and I LOVED the outdoor kitchen, the porch swing with blankets, and the twinkle lights outside. There was coffee, tea, and snacks.
Inside, it is so cozy and welcoming. There is a small heater, which was perfect for heating this space and warms it quickly. It was quiet and peaceful. The porta-potty is cleaner than most regular bathrooms and right next to the cabin. I was a little hesitant about it before booking, but don't let that deter you. It's clean and you can wash your hands at the sink. We spent the next morning reading and enjoying coffee in the Adirondack chairs, and Doug even let us stay an extra hour after the checkout time.
The only thing that wasn't great, which has nothing to do with this rental, is that a neighbor dog barked the entire time we tried to enjoy breakfast at the outdoor table in the morning. We hoped for a peaceful morning (because our neighbor dog at home barks every morning), but that didn't happen. The dog did eventually stop about an hour later, so we could spend time reading in quiet.
Overall, I loved this place. I really wish we could have stayed more than one night. I have been telling my friends about it, and I can't wait to go back again. Thanks for everything, Doug!
Beautiful, quiet, rural washington
The view from the cabin is beautiful, rural Washington. The cabin is cute and cozy and it has all the essentials. A hot plate would be a nice addition to make it possible to cook more extensively during the fire ban, but regardless the stay was extremely comfortable and enjoyable.
My Husband and I had a great time and would come back anytime. The host, Doug R, was very responsive to my messages and very helpful! Thanks for the great experience.
Cute. clean. peaceful. welcoming.
Beautiful! The view from the front porch of the cabin was stunning. The cabin and outhouse/shower area were very clean, accommodating and VERY cute! The host was extremely kind and hospitable. We had such a great time staying here. Would highly recommend :)
This was great “glamping”. The photos are accurate and give a good sense of the place. The cabin is small and cozy, the double bed is cozy. Plenty of nice details to make it easy from wall hooks to a little desk. The outdoor living space at least doubles the indoors space. The deck is large and the table catches sun from three directions if you like....otherwise there’s an umbrella. The view onto the facing hills is lovely. The “bathroom” comprises a porta-potty and a solar shower. They serve their purpose. The kitchen is clever and useful....a toaster, electric tea kettle, and micro make it possible to make good coffee and heat something easy. A food drawback is really the town of Tieton itself...while there are good options the weekend hours are limited so plan ahead if you want food in town. The other drawback is the evening wind, it’s pretty windy daily. We absolutely overcame both those obstacles and would happily return. Great local hiking, and as mentioned elsewhere, Doug is a nice host and a nice guy.
Cozy cabin getaway
We had a great stay at Doug R’s little cabin. Just the cozy spot we were looking to rest during our brief visit to Tieton! Closer to Doug’s house than we expected but still feels private. We loved the outdoor kitchen. Tieton is a very cute little town and we had some beautiful weather that was such a treat coming from already much chillier / damp Seattle. Doug gave some great recommendations for things to do / places to eat / hikes, etc. Thanks again!
A sweet little nook
Doug’s little cabin was cozy and comfy. Really enjoyed just hanging around, reading on the porch, staring at the mountains, and star-gazing at night. Would recommend to anyone looking for a casual little “glamping” experience.
