Experience a different kind of “Big Sky Country” right here in the Pacific Northwest where you may fall asleep under the stars with sounds of frogs, crickets or coyotes, and in the morning watch fog ebb and flow with the sounds of various birds.

Nestled in rural Washington between Olympia and Mount Rainier, we are front-and-center to countryside prairie, ranch life, wildlife and an open view of Mount Rainier and the Cascade Mountain Range.

This listing offers one RV site with an open view across several hundred acres of prairie ranch land, on reasonably flat ground for dry camps only (no toilet on site, must be self-contained). There are walking paths through the long prairie grasses, our house and almost three acres backs into an area with very tall trees and a few neighbor abodes tucked throughout. There is no WiFi available and cell coverage is spotty so please map ahead and plan to plug into... the prairie.

There is a cattle guard to cross and a narrow one lane bridge. This is a small community; please be respectful and drive slowly on our 1/4 mile gravel road/driveway, we are at the end of the road. It’s worth going slow for the driveway offers a revealing moment of Mt. Rainier before it opens to sweeping views of prairie and cattle grazing nearby. Tent camping is allowed only in conjunction with an RV, using its toilet and shower within.

Nearby:

-20 minute drive to Northwest Trek (all animals Pacific Northwest, amazing zip lines adventures, and tram tours)

-25 minutes to the University of Washington’s Experimental Pack Forest (a lovely place to hike and see waterfalls)

-32 minutes to Alder Lake (boating, fishing, swimming)

-55 minute drive to the entrance of Mount Rainier National Park (thee gateway to Paradise)

-58 minute drive to Seattle (30 minutes to Sea-Tac Airport).

JBLM (military base) is near and aerial and ground displays may be seen, heard and felt. Other sounds you may hear while you’re here: distant road sounds, a very faint train, neighbors’ lawn care, cows, chickens, other farm-life, kids playing, coyotes, an amazing variety of birds, and perhaps a rare thunderstorm.

There are not many restaurants nearby, hey we got you! Book “A Food Experience with Chef J” if you have a meal request: breakfast, a picnic lunch for the road/hike or dinner. Just let us know and Expert Executive Chef, my husband, Chef Jeremy, will whip up an organic vegan delight so wonderful, you wouldn’t have guessed it was VeganPossible! We can also cater to ANY ALLERGY or DIET! You name it, we’ll bring the awesome.

We are hands off… unless you need anything! Please, just ask.

We invite you to our little place on the prairie where nature, solitude, and peace awaits you.
