Hello! We are excited to share our small farm with you during your stay in Bellingham! We have 5 acres just south of the Fairhaven district. We are minutes to Galbraith (driving) and just a 2 minute walk from the site to the Pine and Cedar Trailhead - accessing the Chukanut Mountian Trails! The site has a gravel pad & grass area, a picnic table, fire pit, and a rinse station (non potable water). There is also room for up to two tents (plus vehicle) at the site. Power is provided via electrical cord. No showers, but there is a very clean port o potty soley for Hipcampers. Our site WAS very private and quite - before new neighbors (nice friendly people though) bought the land adjoining the site and built a vacation home. You will have plenty of distance from their house but you will hear people at times. It is still much more quiet and private than a campground. You are welcome to visit with our horses during your stay. Farm fresh eggs, organic flower bouquets & the occasional fresh veggie/berry basket are perks in the summer season. Please bring your own DRINKING water. We have water for dishes, etc from our well - but it’s not sterile to drink because it’s from our garden hose.

Convenient to Bellingham!

This was a great location-close to WWU where we were dropping off our daughter. Safe and quiet. Melissa was a very helpful host. Loved the chicken eggs and feeding Napoleon. Would definitely stay again!

Bellingham Farm - Forest Tent Site

Love staying at Melissa’s property! She does a great job offering just enough amenities/tools to make the trip comfortable, but still keeping things off the grid/camping. Love getting to see the farm animals, and the property in general is just beautiful.

Better Thank Staying in a Hotel!

Luckily, we stumbled upon Melissa's Bellingham Base Camp after dropping a friend off at WWU. It truly felt like our "home away from home" - except we were sleeping in the back yard, and didn't have to do the chores : ) Clean, quiet, and the sweet menagerie of farm animals was a welcome distraction from digital devices. Our stay coincided with the first storm of the season, and Melissa was very helpful and attentive to our needs. Enjoyed the views along Chuckanut Drive on our way back home. I imagine we'll be back on our next trip to visit campus, and hope to enjoy some of the local hikes, too!

Bellingham Base Camp on the Farm

Our stay here was so wonderful. The spot was spacious and beautiful - the kids had a blast eating apricots off the tree and visiting the adorable goats and horses. Melissa and her husband were very gracious hosts, letting us use the barn space during an unexpected rainy afternoon/evening and providing farm fresh eggs for our breakfast! The toilet was clean and close by as well. We can't wait to come back!

Farm was awesome! Loved the animals and picked fruit from the trees! Close and convenient to Bellingham. Clean porta potty!
