The Meadowlark Vineyard is a great place to overnight. I would highly recommend and would stay here again. I would recommend a vehicle with clearance to access the upper field. The road is narrow up to the field but it's a beautiful location to wake up in on a sunny morning.

A beautiful location in the gorge. The field is large enough to be able to enjoy the stars in solitude. Lovely site and vineyard.

Stars were simply amazing as was view of Mt Hood. Have Sprinter 170”, road up to camp was sketchy at best. Stay was for two nights, only stayed one as did not want to make the drive up a 2nd time. You are most likely okay if your rig is smaller than ours and are comfortable with rough, steep roads.

Lots of privacy. Incredible star-gazing. Kind and helpful hosts. The wine is pretty good too.

We LOVED camping out at Kiva's place. It is a beautiful spot for dispersed camping with great views of Mt. Hood. We would definitely recommend doing a wine tasting, and had a blast learning how to make the wine. The road up to the field where you camp is a bit rough, but you can make it just fine. Thanks to Kiva, family, and WOOFers for a great experience!

Meadowlark Vineyards was a beautiful setting for a little weekend getaway. My partner and I added on wine tasting and breakfast, both of which were delicious (seriously, you must try their wine). The vineyard is lovely and you can peak Mt hood behind the vines.

I would recommend this camp for the scenic beauty of the environs. The toilet facilities and water availability could use some upgrades.

We came as a group for a long weekend, and found an area (only slightly sloped) that accommodated 4 tents plus a pop-up, chairs, food tables and so on.
Pros: The campground is really beautiful, back to nature, and quiet (we have neighbors with chickens so that noise didn't bother us in the least). Just gorgeous. And the wine if you go for a tasting, is really good - worth stopping in, absolutely.
Cons: The toilet and water situation could use some improvement. I don't object in the least to compost toilets but they are not designed for the number of people on site. They just aren't. I'd encourage Meadowlark Vineyard Camp to dig/build a couple good old fashioned forest service pit toilets. And for the water, we thought there would be a spigot up on the hill to fill our jugs, but I guess the drought affects everything so we had to go down to the winery to fill them. If nobody's there it feels awkward to wander into the building and find the water spigot. It's not the end of the world but it would have been nice to be informed ahead of time.
Even so, we had a wonderful time, great friends, beautiful setting, peaceful and fun, off the beaten track.
