By popular demand we welcome you to now book the WHOLE FARM experience!

The whole farm means you have the whole place to yourself. We typically have 4 campsites but by booking whole farm you lock out those other campsites. Let the kids and the dogs play without worry of other guests nearby.

Choose which of your favorite sites you would like to stay at. Hemlock, Trillium or Casacara! Please let us know which one you prefer at time of booking.

For in depth details and more photos about each site check out our website or our main hipcamp page. Brief site descriptions as follows:

Hemlock-just off the beaten path but perfectly secluded amongst giant hemlock trees. This site boasts a covered tent area, picnic table and fire pit with grill. Parking is within 50' of the tent pad and portable restroom nearby. This site is tent only but can accommodate tent trailers or small camper vans in the parking space which coincidentally is often confused for the campsite its so nice. (a favorite)

Trillium-This site is our most remote. Tent only with about a 75' walk to your campsite hidden in the forest. Trillium is also covered to keep you dry in our Washington weather! If your looking for nothing but the sounds of frogs and birds, a few coyotes at night this is the spot and our personal favorite! Picnic table and firepit with grill included.

Cascara-This site is our only space for trailers and RV's. Easy access into the main camp area. Room to maneuver large trailers and slide outs with ease. Nearby are the portable restroom and self service firewood station. Picnic table is covered with a canopy for shade and inclement weather protection. Fire pit with grille and 4 Adirondack chairs to lounge in while enjoying the fire.

What to expect at the farm...Our name is a bit misleading, We are a farm however historically the property has been a tree farm with a spattering of livestock. We are 124 acres. Approximately 10 acres is dedicated to the main house and farm area which you will pass through on arrival.  Malaney Creek, which flows seasonally, meanders through the property and is accessible on the 10 acre farm area. The rest of the property is wetlands and forest which we work diligently to conserve. The forest area is where your campsite is located. We strive to provide an experience you wont forget with our tent sites nestled in the forest. Amenities at each site include a covered space for inclement weather, picnic table, Adirondack chairs, forest service style firepits with cooking grill, 6 gallons of non potable water. Guests are welcome to hike to the main house and visit the horses, mini goats and chickens. (sorry we do not offer horseback riding) Firewood is available for purchase although you can also forage for firewood as there are plenty of sticks on the ground we can certainly use help on picking up! ;) There are nearly 3 miles of maintained trails and more in the works. Our trails lead to old growth stands of timber that are so big you need 3 sets of arms to hug but make sure to bring sturdy hiking shoes with you as the further out into the forest you go, the less maintained the trails can be.

Spencer Lake public access is a half mile from the farm. Bring your kayaks or boats to play in the water. Spencer Lake is stocked twice a year and is home to Trout, Bass and Perch. In the summer it is a poplular skiing lake and is used by float planes frequently who visit the lakeside restaurant. We also have a salt water access 9 minutes away at Latimers Landing which is a great place for a picnic right next to the Harstine Island Bridge or toss a crab pot out and catch your camp dinner.

There is a list of a few things to do in the area on our website but here is a brief list of what cool things are within 20 minutes of the farm. Shelton is the gateway to the Olympics so there's tons to do and see!

Vance Creek Bridge (tallest arch rail bridge in the US!)

High Steel Bridge (second tallest arch rail bridge in the US!)

Wild Felids (see lynx, tigers and cougars and more!)

Jarrells Cove State Park

Harstine Island Bridge

Harstine Island State Park

Vance Creek Railriders (pedal the historic Simpson railroad)

Penninusular Railway (ride in restored historic railroad equipment)

Our group of friends come out every summer for the private camping experience. The campgrounds are well kept, our dog loves the trails, and the stars are beautiful at night. Dan & Tracy are wonderful hosts. Definitely recommend MCF!

Best place to camp! We rent a private camping experience (the whole property) with our friends and our dog can run off leash. The camp sites are clean, with tables, chairs and propane fire pit available. The porta potty is also very clean and easily accessible. There are plenty of hammocks to hang out in, some lawn games, and lots of trails to explore. The hosts are really friendly, and there is a hose by the house for you to fill your water jugs or wash dishes in. Highly recommend this! We make it an annual tradition.
