Upscale Private Campground

Want to camp with just your own group of friends or family? We only take one group of a time of up to 50 campers. We offer private camping with great amenities such as a propane grill, patio, hammocks, outdoor food prep area with sink, cedar shower house with skylights, and clean port a-potties. Whether it is just a simple stay for one, or for a larger group (check COVID-19 restrictions) we can accommodate you!

Walking paths meander through a stand of over 6,000 Douglas firs and additional acreage to old-growth forest in the back woods. You may come in contact with our neighboring treehouse guests in the backwoods along the pond, or residents working on other treehouses.

Located a mile from the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge of 800 restored estuary acres with easy and quick access to I-5. Although it is quite peaceful here, neighboring land owners have roosters and cows, and the area is known for having coyotes and seasonal mountain lions. We often have owls that are quite vocal and woodpeckers that like to make a visit. In the spring, it is frog season! Their nightly chorus is impressive! A train does travel on the Pierce county side of the Nisqually River and you will hear faint traffic from I-5. These are the sounds to expect while camping here.

Small travel trailers and pop-up tents best fit the parking areas and the campground can fit up to 25 tents. There are plenty of spots to chose from, depending on if you want a grassy place or within the Douglas firs. If you have aerial tents, there are plenty of places to set up within the large cedars.
