Great campsite. This is now my go to spot for when I'm going kayaking. This place had all the amenities that you could need. There was a tent pad for setting up my tent. A good table and chairs for eating. The kitchen was amazing. I loved the outdoor shower. Water was hot and the rainfall shower felt great after a long day of kayaking.

I really didn't notice any significant noise from the road at all. There was the occasional truck but nothing that kept me up at night. Host was great and very helpful. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

My friend and I were totally amazed by the level of care and thought that went into this site. Russell clearly takes very good care of this place and orients himself towards working with the land and nature. He has vibed out the place, with lots of unique design details, to make it a lovely place to stay. The outdoor shower was absolutely luxurious and the ability to have power, wi if, well water, compost toilet and an outdoor kitchen made it a place I felt I could easily live at for weeks. This is a great place to base yourself if you are adventuring in the nearby gorge or Gifford Pinchot, especially white water rafting, several launch sites within walking distance. We saw lots of wildlife friends, many bird feeders attracted all kinds of birds and deer visited us. Things to keep in mind - so far there is only one tent pad so make sure you ask about other areas you can pitch a tent if you have more than one; this is next to some houses so you will hear vehicles driving at night and a rooster crowing early morning. I highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a place to base themselves while adventuring the nearby area.
