I can't really say enough about this Farm and Matt and Katie. From their beautiful farm where they grow grain for their Berkshire hogs to the creek that runs behind the yurt and the fact that you're just 45 minutes away from gorgeous hiking other River options and less than that for many other small farm producers, this is the place to take a couple days to yourself. So get out of town and get to know your local food producers at Alluvial Farm. And while you're at it enjoy some bacon or pork chops for your breakfast or dinner and head up the road about 20 minutes to play in the North fork of the nooksack and stop at Mama's garden for your produce to go with your delicious small farm grown pork.

Being at the foot of the Cascades gives you plenty of opportunities for hiking, winter sports, and you're only 20 minutes from the town of Bellingham. So if you just want a peaceful night on a farm but want all the amenities of being in town this is a great place to stay, no matter where you're interests lie.

Eat local, buy local, stay local.... Support your small farms for a beautiful tomorrow.

I can't wait to go back.

I wish I had a few more nights to enjoy the sunsets. Next time.Beets, broccoli, summer squash from Mama's garden just 20 minutes down the road, and those delightful pork slices are from your host at Alluvial FarmsCreek behind the yurt really helped us to cool off when the temps reached 85°.Field Edge 24' off-grid yurt
