Perfect for me!
James is a wonderful host and his hospitality was greatly appreciated. He has created a lovely camp space with lots of details. Very clean Porta potty and a little wood building that has a mini fridge and a Coleman stove, electricity and lights.
And perfect for my timing as the weather turned and it’s cold and raining he had just installed a small fireplace electric heater which saved my day. There’s a fire pit and wood which I would use if it wasn’t raining. James brought me some kindling yesterday before the rain started and I actually got to have a fire in the pit for about a half hour before the rain started. This is a good location to serve as a base camp to go hiking up around Salmon La Sac or visiting any number of the rivers and creeks in the area. The town of Roselyn close by is a tourist destination. The set up here is great for a small RV or camper trailer. There is a hook up.
There is a small shallow loft up a steep ladder which you could sleep in if you brought your bedding. There are neighbors but I didn’t hear or see anyone. The site is nicely forested. Will return next time I’m in the area.
Great spot, adorable little cabin
This was a lovely spot, perfect for my overnight and easy to get to Roslyn. The little cabin really exceeded my expectations, it's really adorable and well equipped. Host was super helpful and accomodating. Do listen to the RV length limits provided by the host, the photos don't really show the sharp turn on approach, but otherwise the pad and site are roomy and great.
The Humbug Ranch was very accommodating for campers who desire amenities and a break from rough camping. My husband and I normally do dry camping trips, and this site was a great break - the hut had a gas stove, small fridge, kitchen tools and much more. We even had a big screen TV to watch DVD movies. The outhouse was well stocked, clean, with motion light sensors inside and out for night visits. It felt like a home away from home. James provided more information and help than required; we were very happy with this site!
Gem of a site with an amazing host!
Humbug Ranch is a well appointed and roomy site. It is tucked away just enough to be private while still being near to the local outdoor amenities. There is a nice mixture of sun and shade and the site is immaculately kept.
We brought our Airstream and our friend slept on the cot in the little cabin. James was a great host - communicating promptly ahead of our booking and checking in with us during our stay.
We spend our days kayaking several of the local lakes and hiking at a couple local state parks. We will be back!
This was a perfect getaway from Seattle. We parked our trailer and then enjoyed the little hut/cabin, the picnic table, and the stars. James was very responsive. We didn't wander around much as we felt nice and secluded and just wanted a night away from the city. Thanks James!!
We really enjoyed our stay at Humbug Ranch. I brought a camp trailer and had electric plug in which was perfect. He has a porta potty if needed as well as refrigerator and even a TV with movies inside the small shed building. The whole area was gravel which kept things from getting dirty. Great stay!
You must check this place out
