Safe, quiet street. warm welcome!
What a warm welcome! I arrived late at night, searching for a safe place to sleep since I was too tired to continue my journey. Jan met me in the driveway, a dozen farm fresh eggs in hand, as a gift for my arrival. And she warmly said, "Welcome." It was just what at I needed at that moment. I slept safe and sound all night on Jan's property. Topped off my water bottles on her spigot-what delicious well water! And headed off to Rainier National Park. Would definitely stay here again. Strong recommend.
Amazing location and host!
These are some of the best host we have ever encountered and the property is perfect with a lot of privacy and a view out toward the mountain and close to her amazing horses. The property gives you the country feel which we were looking for and the location is just a few min to Highway 410. Close to Enumclaw, Buckley, Black Diamond giving you lots of food options. Also easy routes to bigger cities such as Tacoma and Auburn SeaTac Etc. As for the host they could not be more accommodating bringing us fresh bread (AMAZING) and offering us fresh produce from their garden. They gave us some great local recommendations and we found our hangout for the week at the Firehouse Pub which is minutes from the location. Also there is a RV Dump station 2 blocks away at the Eagle Hall which came in handy for us with a small Cassette Toilet. If you are lucky enough to get to book this location just do it you will not be disappointed it is wonderful on all accounts.
A quiet getaway with a country feel
This was our first stay at Hummingbird Ranch. Our hosts, Jane and Keith, greeted us as we got our rig set up and shared a little info about the area. We took a lovely ride on our ebikes into Buckley and were very impressed with what a nice town it is. We rode back with a pizza from the local pizza place and enjoyed a nice quiet meal before turning in. We enjoyed watching the horses and the chickens (we were gifted fresh eggs when we arrived!) and the striking view of Mt. Rainier.
We would highly recommend staying at Hummingbird Ranch, it’s a beautiful, quiet and inviting place to put yourself for a night or two.
