This special campsite looks out over the Hood Canal, with South facing views that go on forever! The RV has a very comfortable double bed (with bedding) and the couch makes into a bed (no bedding supplied). So it can accommodate 2 adults easily and 1 or 2 kids. The listing states 4 people because there is room for extra tents. Please contact host, Cari, if you’d like to have a larger group of campers. There is room for one or two tents at this site as well. The site has trails through an old-growth fir grove that leads to the Tahuya State Forest trails where you can ride your ORV's or hike for miles.
We are just 3 miles from the Belfair State Park where you can enjoy the waterfront and windsports when there is a south wind blowing. The public boat launch and swimming docks are less than a mile from camp! You are welcome to borrow our kayaks if you have a way to bring them to the boat launch.
The Hood Canal is a warmer water than the rest of the Puget Sounds, so it's wonderful for playing and swimming in!
Our property is an off-grid homestead with gardens, orchards and chickens. There are 3 campsites, this one RV spot plus 2 other tent or bring-your-own RV sites. We have a composting toilet available and the RV has water available. We have the basic dishes stocked in the camper, with coffee mugs, water and wine glasses, plates and bowls etc....
Note, the faucet water is not potable but a 5 gallon jug of fresh spring water will be provided. There is a small fridge, propane stove and a full bathroom.
**** IMPORTANT **** The toilet in the RV is to be used for number 1 visits only, all number 2's need to be done in the very cool, clean and artfully done composting outhouse. Which, I assure you, you will enjoy!
A campfire ring is available, and bundles of firewood are available for sale. You'll enjoy the quiet of the evenings and the privacy of this camp. This camp is very private with no road noise or neighbors.
This site is perched on the edge of a not super steep ravine, and you need to be aware if you have small children to keep a good eye on them so they don't take a tumble down the long hillside. We don't recommend having children under 4 years old stay here unless you are extremely comfortable with having them in the wilderness.
We HIGHLY recommend AWD or 4WD to get to this campsite as our road is steep and gravelly. It's not a difficult road to maneuver, but unless you are very comfortable in your non-4wd vehicle on steep, gravel roads, we think you should have AWD/4WD. There is one 2-point turn that is doable with a trailer, but be aware that you will have to be competent enough to do a 2-point turn.

The site was big and level and the rv was very clean. Plenty of kitchen basics provided. They’ve done a really nice job building out their property and even the composting toilet is done really well. They are also really nice people too. Great experience.
We had a great time at this campsite! It’s super secluded, has an amazing view of the canal, and the RV provides convenient amenities. Cari was a fantastic host. She was easy to communicate with and provided us with firewood and fresh eggs upon arrival. I would happily stay here again!
