Dean was an amazing host. Even though we just needed a place to plug in and sleep, Dean offered us so much more. He and his dogs were welcoming and helpful upon entering the property, and their hospitality continued over sharing meade and stories. Dean even made us a fantastic morning coffee using the beans he roasts himself. An impressive, talented man!
Showers are hot and everything works.
Dean's acreage is a dream! We stayed there in our motorhome and absolutely loved it. We have two dogs and they are picky about making friends but adored Deans dogs. They are the sweetest and make the camping even more enjoyable.
Dean was kind enough to show us his meadery and the property so we felt comfortable exploring and walking around.
We would definitely recommend it for other campers whether you have an RV, tent, van, etc.
For reference we comfortably parked our 31 ft motorhome and we were able to hookup to electricity (only available in one spot so inquire with dean!). There is a shower and toilet available for use in a separate building from his home in the backyard.
Beyond expectations for hospitality
Dean has a lovely spot in the woods, and was a wonderful host. Didn't get a chance to taste the wine, but the coffee was amazing! I'll be back for sure. Highly recommend the stay, and be sure to plan enough time to hang out and explore.
Quiet, peaceful and phenomenal host
This spot was 100%. Dean was a phenomenal host, brought me morning cappucino, showed me down to the river in his ATV, and introduced me to his meadery wine which was a first for me! His dogs are also the sweetest! I needed a quiet and peaceful place to work for 2 days and this was perfect. I slept with the window open to hear the waterfall in his front yard throughout the night. I highly recommend this place!
I'm sure Dean's property will soon become hard to book. He's a new listing with lots of great plans for his property. What is currently offered is a great spot with showers, washrooms, and wilderness. Dean is a very interesting and charming person who will entertain with mead, coffee, and more if prompted, but also laissez faire if that's what you prefer.
We had a great stay at Dean’s property. The campsite was clean and level and the bathrooms were clean and had flush toilets. Dean offered us a tasting of his wines and meads, which are delicious. He even invited us to race his slot cars, which was fun!
A couple things to note:
1. His neighbor’s dogs barked quite a bit at night. It didn’t bother us, but if you are a light sleeper, it might affect you.
2. The campsites don’t have a table. It made meal prep a bit harder than expected, but his listing is clear that there are no tables.
Coming back again!
Dean was an amazing host! Accommodated our late arrival and showed us where we could camp! Has a huge and beautiful property! He was so nice! My big ace and his friend took it upon themselves to help dean out and clean up the wood and he so graciously made us some food! Would 100% recommend and come again! Hopefully next weekend! His dogs Zoey and Jake were so beyond sweet and friendly and loved my kids!
