The view is amazing. The hosts are very nice, responsive and accommodating. The spot is great, with room to roam around, take walks through the orchard and an exceptionally clean porta-potty. The one draw-back for our party was the sounds of air cannons, gunfire and fake birds that started at 7 a.m. and lasted until sunset at 7:15 p.m. Not being from the wine growing region, we weren't aware of this practice (which is all soundtracks, not real guns, and bird-friendly, btw) that is normal during the harvest season. I read through other reviews after returning from this trip and saw that one other person mentioned this same experience. Wish I would have read all the reviews. I imagine in the spring, without the soundtrack of a civil war re-enactment, this camp spot is divine.
This was our first time using Hipcamp but won't be our last. The host was communicative, check in was easy, the location was close to everything yet private, and the views were great. The only negatives were a lack of shade which made it quite hot during the day (not a surprise in this area of WA so come prepared) and the neighbors' air cannons for scaring birds out of the vineyard. The latter of which wasn't bothersome to us because we had a young child waking us up early anyway but some in our party were bothered by it and left early.
Great place to camp and Mariah and husband were very helpfull. Brought out camper and there was plenty space, water and great views. Plenty wineyards to visit and close to lake chelan. We had a fantastic stay.
Come prepared (for a good time)
The vineyard is beautiful and my campsite had a gorgeous view to match it! Mariah was super helpful and always made time to answer questions and check in with us. It was a little windy and the trail is rocky so be careful if you have a car that isn't built for off roading-- but if you come prepared I can guarantee you'll have a great time. Make sure to check out the winery itself, everything we tried was super tasty :)
Beautiful scenic campsite
My roommates and I had an awesome weekend! The campsite was very clean, and the view was amazing. We were far enough out from the general busyness of Chelan without being remote. Mariah was very accommodating, especially as we arrived pretty late at night, and was quickly available to answer any questions we had. The campsite itself really doesn’t have shade at all, so I’d definitely recommend bringing something if you plan to relax there during the day. It’s only ten or so minutes away from a great public park with swimming, which we definitely took advantage of. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back!
Absolutely awesome trip to Four Lakes Winery. We had a group of 8 people and a gaggle of dogs and it worked great for us. Mariah is a super responsive and friendly host. We were here in the heat so we went out to the dog park on the lake in Manson both days on Mariah’s recommendation, which was so fun. We went up and had some Wine on site as well. The tasting room has an incredible view and yummy wines. The view from this camp site is beautiful too, and it’s nice and secluded. If you are looking for something in this area, book this one! I’d recommend a pop up canopy, and maybe some water jugs, as the potable water had to be refilled from time to time. Beautiful spot, lots to do, great host.
