Big field camping space!
I could find the gate easily but I wasn't completely sure if I keep driving on the green field to see the campsite. So I stopped by the owner's home to confirm I arrived at the right place. The owner, Richard and Kathleen came out from their home and we had a nice meet and greet. There was one couple of camper already but the best place with picnic table was available. So we took that place to stay over night.
Beautiful meadow, friendly hosts
Beautiful sites on a wide-open meadow with a clean outhouse, friendly hosts, and lots of privacy. We were the only campers, but because there's a maximum of four parties, you'll always have plenty of space. We expected fire pits and picnic tables at each site based on the listing, but there's only one table (for now — they're working on it), and due to the burn bans, we had to rent their (wood) stove with spark arrester to have a fire. Totally worth it, just an expense we didn't expect. PS the fresh eggs really are the best deal around!
One of the best Hipcamp experiences I've had. Beautiful property, lots of space and privacy, friendly and helpful hosts, and the cleanest outhouse I've ever seen. My two daughters and I camped two nights in a big open meadow surrounded by trees. Great for star-gazing, no ambient lights in the area. Short drive to lots of great recreation. We'll be back for sure.
This is a hidden gem!
We loved staying here! The hosts are such lovely and interesting people (ask Richard about his preserves, they're amazing!) and the site is really tranquil and quiet. They have only recently opened so when we visited there was only toilet facilities available (nice, clean and more pleasant than the normal porta-loos!) but apparently there are more plans for things to be added. This is a gem of a place and I'd recommend it to anyone who is seeking a quiet place to chill with easy access to the Mount Baker area. Totally recommend it.
Richard's land was fantastic! There was plenty of space to choose a secluded site and tons of room for the dogs to run around. The flowers were blooming, so we had beautiful scenery. The outhouse was very clean as well.
Richard was very friendly and helpful with recommendations for things to do in the area.
Cam;ing in flowers
Richard is a warm and interesting host with strong connections to his locale. The site is unimaginably private and beautiful. Lots of sunlight, flowers and tall grass. Fun dogs will visit if you want them to with Richard. He also makes craft jellies that you will want some of to take home!
Serine and magical
Such a peaceful and serene place. There were trails and woods for the kids to explore. We set up camp at the bottom of the knoll and the view was beautiful! The hosts we so nice and talked about the property's history. We will be returning again!
