We have sheep, goats and two Highland Coos that roam the property and pasture (this means that there is livestock manure on our entire property). To the East of the site is Observatory Hill with loads of trails. You might catch a glimpse of the red-tail fox who hangs around our property.

There is a lot happening on the property this year: new barn made from two old barns from the area, remodeling of our home and a new roof.

This was the most fun I’ve had camping in years! The goats were so friendly and completely made our stay worth it! Would recommend to anyone!

We were greeted immediately upon our arrival and the location was great -- quite beautiful! We really enjoyed meeting all the animals. The goats were especially friendly, especially when we were eating, but they could be shooed away. Morning deer were an added bonus.

The purpose of our trip was to visit the Goldendale Observatory State Park. This campground was only about 4 minutes away, which made it super convenient.

We chose the Oak Grove campsite, which is at the far end of the pasture from the driveway. The walk was about 400 meters, but it's flat and the host provides wheel barrels to make schlepping your gear there a piece of cake.

This place is a trip! Sarah is an incredible
Host, so responsive, friendly and accomodating. We LOVE her animals!!! We weren’t able to stay because the fire smoke obscured our view (totally not any fault of the host or campsite obviously) but sarah was super gracious, we came and ate dinner, giggled at her adorable goats who were the cuddliest puppies ever! And then got a rain check for another time in the fall for sky viewing. Great property, so close to the observatory well be back!

So peaceful and lovely. Sarah couldn’t be friendlier and more hospitable. I loved spending the night amongst her many animals. Site #2 is awesome for tent or van camping. It was real windy the night I arrived so i slept in my van. Even got to enjoy Goldendale’s Saturday am farmers market on my way east. Thank you, Sarah!!!

Sarah & family (including the non humans) were very welcoming. I was looking for a base camp to explore local trails and this was a good location. Our stay was cut short due to high winds causing dust to coat the interior of our tent. Not at all the hosts fault but a bummer none the less. Animals are super friendly and inquisitive. Ask for tips on interactions. Another good tip is to bring a water container, as no spigot close to tent area. (Sarah kindly shared a 5 gal container with us) Porta potty was clean and well stocked with TP and hand sanitizer. Sarah went above and beyond when she delivered back to us a favorite water bottle - luckily she had plans near us and was super kind to bring to our doorstep. Lovely family and lovely area.

The location and experience were lovely! We had a great time at Dream Acres during our 2-night stay. The grove of trees provided the perfect shade and right amount of privacy. We love the goats especially! Such friendly creatures. Sarah is a wonderful host and we enjoyed hearing about the animals and her suggestions for hiking nearby.

We had a great stay at Sarah's place. She was very friendly and helpful and my 4 year old grandson loved the animals, especially the goats! It was quiet and the stars were stunning.
It's a very short drive to Stonehenge and the Maryhill Museum which was fascinating. I highly recommend Dream Acres Homestead. Thank you Sarah, for a lovely time!

Amazing experience. The Pasture and oak grove hillside provided a relaxing joyous night with many birds.
We became friends with the horse, goats, mama sheep and two ox that were super sweet. Hosts were polite and helpful. Outhouse was clean and upkept.
If you are tent camping you must feel comfortable with farm animals and their close proximity otherwise I would not recommend it.
Close to town and not far from Mount Adams as the mountain views silhouette the city.
Would stay again!
