Great spot right by the river. Super nice hosts that made sure we had everything we needed and even took our trash away at one point when it was overflowing! Clean port a potties are a big plus. I would stay here again.
We had a nice time at this site overall. The river is really pretty and you really do get to camp right next to it. It was also nice that Mike and Angela provided plenty of firewood, tables and benches for each site, fire pits, and garbage cans. We were close to some really pretty areas to explore too! Unfortunately we weren’t expecting to be so close to other campers, especially since the photos don’t really show that and the description is a bit deceiving about the set up. We were excited about this spot as it is pet friendly for off leash and we thought there would be lots of room to roam for our energetic pup, but with being so tight packed next to other campers, some other people didn’t seem as comfortable with off leash dogs so we had to keep ours on a lead the whole time which wasn’t ideal. It ended up being fine, it just would have been nice to know you’d be about 5 feet from other campers ahead of time. Our hosts were very friendly though and I can see this spot being a blast for folks with young kids that don’t mind more of a “campground” feel. We are more into privacy and seclusion so it wasn’t as much our vibe. But we did have a good time regardless.
This was a great HipCamp! There was easy river access, plenty of space (so it didn't feel like you were too close to your neighbors at the HipCamp), and nice surprises like picnic tables and fire pits. There's light road noise, but the sound of the river drowned it out at night. Overall, it's a very peaceful, secluded spot.
Angela was so sweet and welcoming! The campsite was perfect, right by the water and you felt separate from the other people. I would definitely stay there again!
We had a wonderful time! Beautiful property and super communicative host. Angela was very helpful and made accommodations for us without hesitation. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an awesome campsite in the area!
We enjoyed Angela’s & Mikes place! The tent sites are in the open so no privacy from other campers. We had a large group so we rented out one of the site entirely (they have two separate areas for tents). They do have one little spot that’s tucked away but it’s not right on the river.
Angela & Mike are the BEST host! The sites are kept clean and orderly. They removed the trash at least once a day and they provide you a table and fire pit. They went above and beyond and allowed us to borrow a pop tent! The portable potty’s are clean for what you would expect out of those.
The only thing we experienced was the nuisance of the blackberry bushes that line the sites. This was a big thing for us because we had little ones - if you have kids who have a problem keeping shoes on ….I would think twice for that reason. One of the adults was not aware as they arrived late & stepped on them..ouch! The berries also attract Bees & few of us got stung.
Other than the blackberries bushes the place a truly wonderful. The weather was HOT when we went & having the river made that simply not an issue. We plotted our chairs right in the river and enjoyed the sunshine! The kids 5 & 6years walked the river w no problem (bring water shoes rocks are slippery) The water was low when we went so it was perfect! We had fishing poles and floats for the kids! Small little rapids up stream made for some good fun. Overall this place is a little gem!
We will go back:)
Had a great time camping on Angela’s property! Well maintained area right on the river
Angie is super sweet and friendly and her property is a perfect little stretch of the river. It was calm and shallow when we went, which made it safe and fun for the kids to play in and to walk up stream and tube down repeatedly. It was a popular spot the weekend we went, so it was full but all our camping neighbors were friendly and good natured. And the kids had a blast!
