Cute tiny cabin on the river
Cute tiny cabin on the river that is perfect for two people. We squeezed 5 and 2 pets with a tent pitched in back and cushions on the floor. It wasn’t a restful nights sleep, but it was a relaxing and beautiful day at the cabin. There is a restaurant and store at the turn off that can almost be seen from the cabin. The nearest town is only about a 20 minute drive. The raging river is loud and beautiful. We enjoyed watching the rafters floating by all day and playing the games that the host provided. The host was kind yet provided plenty of privacy. Highly recommend, but I would suggest just 2-3 people and bring a comfortable air mattress and bedding. The hideaway is hard and springy.
One of a kind experience.
Never met Danny, but his parents (Tom and Bernadine) who own the house the bunk resides on were the most kind, genuine people. From the second I pulled in I felt welcome. The rough flowing river added to the white noise that helped me sleep calmly and soundly. I slept like a rock both nights staying there. There is a coffee maker, microwave, electricity and a light. As well as by far the most clean "outhouse" I have ever used. It was bittersweet driving away, my only regret was not spending a week there!
Rustic adventure in a small cabin!
This is a very cute cabin that overlooks a beautiful river. If you are looking for a small, rustic, cabin then this is your place. The portable toilet was very clean. However, I would like to state that the photos are not up-to-date with what the cabin currently looks like. There was no microwave, no backyard, the grill did not work, and the deck was not as new as it looks in the photos. I would have liked to have current photos to help me prepare for the trip and know what to expect. Overall, if you are looking for a rustic adventure then this is an option, but do be aware that the photos are not current.
Best 4th of july ever!
We had a the best weekend here! The cabin is small. Pictures make it seem bigger. But it’s perfect for a couple or solo camper. Finding the place was pretty easy. Cabin is right next to the house but they were very nice and even gave us wood. They left us alone so it was private. Other dogs were on the property but they didn’t bother my 3. The scenery is just out of this world. I could not get over how gorgeous the area is. There is so much to explore around the cabin and if you drive along the highway. We look forward to coming back.
Place was pretty easy to get to. We didn’t have any service which was great coming from a family that is constantly watching Netflix ha. No better place to unplug than this cute cabin. There’s some neighbors around but there’s enough privacy that you forget they’re there. The sweet couple that lives nearby gave us some fishing tips and spots to try our luck, needless to say we had an amazing fish dinner that we cooked over our warm campfire that night. I didn’t know how small the cabin was until we saw it but it was perfect for our family. Some of us decided to set a tent out back, the sound of the river was mesmerizing.
10/10 would recommend.
The only kinda bad experience we had was when we were exploring near the bridge and a neighbor from across the bridge near the trout lodge tried to confront us and tell us that we shouldn’t be there because it was private property so we had to explain that we were renting a cabin.
Other than that everything else was great!
the direction was inaccurate. couldn't locate the place when i followed the map.
when i asked how is the weather and the driving condition he just said "it's fine" and no more details. it was icy road and our car litterally got stuck for aoubt 2 hours. host was all drunk and didn't help us in anyway.
Great place to relax!
Follow the directions and when you see the dead need sign, you’ve gone 20 feet too far. Look for the totem pole.
Great place to relax! The cabin was clean and tidy. The views are amazing. Danny (And Patches) is very nice. I had phone service as well. It was perfect! Thank you Danny!
