We designed 2 glamping sites with the intention of creating a Hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) vibe. Hygge is a calm comfortable time with people you love. The absence of frustrations; often enjoyed with good food and drinks, cozy blankets and candlelight or a fire. ❤️
Our property is located in Custer, WA in the Northwest corner of Whatcom County. Easy 20-minute drive to Bellingham, 10-15 minutes to coastal beaches (Birch Bay & Semiahmoo), and 10 minutes to Blaine and the Canadian border.
We love hosting our campers and friends and are happy to share ideas for local farms, hiking trails, and ways to make your gathering on our farm special!
ABOUT THE SITE:
Great for families!! Sleeps up to 6. Have more people? No problem!! Check out our other listings (STARRYNIGHT PASTURE GLAMPING and HIDDEN FOREST MINI CABIN) or message us for group options.

We installed a wood-burning stove in the tent this season! 🔥 It is so cozy and warm even on the chilly fall nights in the Northwest. Fire fixings included :)
1.5 acres of woods allows for fun outdoor games, fort building, and woodlands exploration. 🌲 A true highlight of our space is the treehouse, which is open and available to campers of all ages :)
It is a short walk (~2min) from the parking area with a wagon available.
The glamping sites are located quite far from our home. However, the camping area is surrounded by neighboring properties. Although you will be secluded, the sounds of the country community travel throughout the day. As evening falls, it's typically peaceful and quiet. ⭐️

50% rustic and 50% luxury= a well balanced mix. The coffee was delicious and the ceramic mugs were so cute. Bed was super comfy and we were nice and warm in the tent.
We didn't use it, but the grill looked well loved and could use a bit of TLC.
We can't wait to come back again.
We have come back multiple times and have enjoyed each and every time. We have camped with and without our children, each time has been a comfort and a great experience.
Wonderful experience. Really loved the host family. Good people. The kids played with our kids. Kids enjoyed being in nature and bonfires.
We loved our time at Hidden Forest Glamping! A great spot, with nice amenities, the hosts were very helpful and welcoming!
I would absolutely stay here again. The site was easily accessible to nearby beach and forest recreation. The family was available if we needed anything but never hovered. They thought of every last comfort and made the glamping tent, fire pit and table area, as well as tree house feel so welcoming. The bed had plenty of blankets and the mattress was very comfortable. Our daughter loved the bunk bed style cots. The small wood stove inside the tent kept things very cozy without overheating. We camped there over a rainy weekend in mid-May and were happy to have ample indoor space to keep dry and warm while we escaped the rain as well as outdoor areas to enjoy as well. There is one other camp site on the property nearby but far enough away that the noise didn’t carry.
The moment you park your car, you take that breath of fresh air and you immediately know it'll be a great, relaxing stay. Jake and Sarah definitely thought of every detail, from providing wagons to transport your stuff, to lanterns, portable charging station and even a tent stove to keep you warm and cozy at night. Although I would say, you might not even need to keep the tent stove fired up since the blankets and bed linens kept us nice and toasty!
There was a porta potty available on site, which is very well maintained , as well as a nice hand washing station. It does get a little dark inside the sink area, so I suggest keeping the door open or just bring a lantern of some sort, which you can hang on the wall.
I've always been a little bit wary once it gets super dark outside, but I felt very safe in their property and we actually stayed out pretty late, eating snacks and listening to music.
I definitely recommend to book your next glamping experience with them!
This was a great and easy get away for my wife and I. Having three kids and soccer games on the weekends, we needed something quick and easy while grandma was in town. This met all our individual requirements between my wife and I. The hosts were very responsive via messaging and extremely helpful. Highly recommended!
What a great spot! The site was exactly as described, and the tent was beyond cozy on a cool fall night. I really appreciated all the extra little touches - like the lanterns and battery pack - that weren't in the listing and served and happy suprises when we got there. This was our first time glamping, and now I'm hooked!
Jake & Sarah have created a magical glamping site!! When you first arrive at their lovely farm, you drive straight back on a grassy road and then park in front of a tiny wooden bridge. Two wagons are provided for you to haul your gear back and forth (an easy two-min. walk).
The tent contains a very comfy bed, bunkbeds, chairs and a small table, a charging station “brick”, even a small wood-burning stove (which we didn’t try). It was utterly cozy❤️
Our group consisted of a granny (me), Mama and two boys (ages 5 & 10). The boys fell in love with the treehouse!! Jake & Sarah thoughtfully stocked it with a small table & chairs, some animals, cars and trains, plus a bucket on a pulley.
Above the picnic table was an arbor that holds solar-powered lights. It does not offer any protection from rain, tho. Fortunately, I knew the forecast was calling for some morning rain so I had brought a large tarp and bungies which served as a canopy and allowed us a dry place to eat our breakfast before we were ready to pack up and go home👏🏽
There’s a basic portapotty available (shared by both glamping sites on Jake’s & Sarah’s property) and a nearby washroom for washing hands and brushing teeth.
We also loved the campfire area. You can choose to purchase wood from Jake & Sarah and they will have it ready for you upon arrival.
We loved our stay and will definitely be back next summer!!!

Hey Marilyn! We wanted to thank you for this review from last fall AND let you know that we installed a roof over the pergola over the winter! We are always trying to make the experience better for our guests. YOU were right... With so many rainy days in spring and fall and even summer - a covered eating area so so needed! I hope you come back to see us this season!
