Really enjoyed our night at Chris’s. Cute set up - only addition might be a propane fire pit to make the space even more homey. There is noise from chickens and two major roads and all kinds of animal and bird noises all evening but that is part of charm. Best for hard sleepers or very effective ear plugs. We stayed in our rooftop tent and had porta potty and it worked great. The spot is behind workshop and adjacent to open grassy field flanked by a lovely barn on adjacent property.
I travel and work full time on the road, but sometimes it’s great to just call a place home for a few days to relax and catch up on work. This place was perfect for that! They have great WiFi and access to the electrical outlets there right on the deck. The hosts were very friendly and helpful! Very pretty views of the barn, mountains and enjoyed watching the chickens.

Enjoyed our stay at Cardinal’s Camp! Amazing spot! We loved it! The hosts are great, we enjoyed getting to know them! Chris, thanks for the fresh eggs, they were delicious!

This is great! Love those photos, wonderful set up! Glad you enjoyed the eggs and the views, come back again!
Great location and super friendly hosts! The only slight niggle some might have is the space between the RV roof support posts might be too narrow for some rigs. Our trailer is 8.5' wide + and I opted not to pull it under. A better operator prolly could have done it ;) It worked out fine though as that gave is covered space for our motorcycles and toys.

Thanks so much! We enjoyed having you out here and seeing you enjoy the area! Thanks also for the note about the width - we added that to the listing as that is a good thing for people to know! Come back anytime :)
Oh my gosh this was a special spot. While it's in a back yard it is both private enough and is bordered by hay fields on two sides with a fabulous old barn where you are likely to see barn owls launch out of for their nightly hunt. We did!
There is nothing needed here. The owners have thought of it all including bbq, shelter for both rig and feasting and relaxing.
They are very accommodating to the extent that they backed my trailer out of the drive and narrow shelter for me.
Highly recommend . And then with Finn River Cidery and their world class farm store another block down it has the makings for a seasonal visit for me. I want to enjoy it in all of Chimacums leafy stories. I accidently discovered Marrowstone island down the road a bit with it's pastoral quiet windy road and oysterbays with old docks and small boats grassy picnic fields and Nordland General store. I t is the road to a beautiful fort with expansive views of our beloved Puget Sound.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cardinal's Farmstead. Beautiful area, really nicely executed covered seating area and fire pit, welcoming laid-back host and a nice little pocket of amenities at our fingertips (Finnriver cidery across the street was fantastic- go there) and wonderful local grocery/ organic grocery + nursery just down the road. We had a mix of weather during our stay and were thankful to have a cozy place to come back to. We plan on visiting again sometime. Thanks for a great stay!
We had an awesome night at Chris’s place! Super clean and tidy site with beautiful views and right across from the cidery. Would definitely stay again.
Such a great, picturesque spot. Chris and Cara were very hospitable. They shared recommendations for things to do nearby, tips for getting on the ferry to Whidbey Island, and fresh eggs. So fun!

Thank you so much, this is wonderful to hear! Yes, the charm of the geese and the coyotes and all else that goes on in the valley! Glad you enjoyed :) And a propane heater/firepit is on our list - thanks!
