Pitch your tent anywhere on the property. Close to town and local shopping. Walking distance to two trails that lead down to the cowlitz river. More local trails, lakes, and adventure than I can list. Mountain bike trails at the end of Canon road! Local elk heard and deer frequent the property and area! This would be a good stay for someone who knows exactly what they are getting. To be clear, this stay is not on the actual river - this is NOT a private property or lot facing the river. The lot photos shown are in a residential neighborhood. In that neighborhood you can take a walk where there is public access to the river, where some of the listings river photos were actually taken.

My dad and I stayed here for 2 nights so we could do some hiking at Mt. Rainier. Pros/cons of this site:

Pros: quiet neighborhood, close to town, close to walking paths to the river, phone service, water onsite, clean outhouse.

Cons: mosquitos, lots of thorny plants (don’t go barefoot, and put a tarp under your tent or they’ll poke through!), only one picnic bench but site can be shared with multiple campers.
