Great place to stay. Even though you are in someone's backyard it is much better than those campgrounds where you areright next to people. Quiet place. Just the right amount of camping more like an Airbnb. Nice walk to the beach
Close to all the fun island activities and places to explore.. Super farmers market right down the road.

It was a lovely stay. The ambiance with the screen window view and the water feature are great from bed. The view is nothing to look at, literally, as you look into some bushes; however, the view gives you a sense of seclusion. The house is just behind the shack, which was unexpected, as it felt like camping in someone’s backyard. There was a nice outdoor shower. The privacy was there, as there were no people around (for the most part;) however, the proximity to the house and the lack of any curtains around the windows left an “exposed” feeing. Great amenities and easy beach access definitely made the journey worth it. Spent an afternoon on the beach and only saw one other person. Blackberries, campfire, and the sound of running water were just right.
My boyfriend and 10 pound terrier mix and I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing two night stay at the little jewel box! The private beach access and treetop shower were the hit of the weekend for us, and we loved the amenities provided for us (coffee, firewood, water) that made us immediately at ease. The camp site was a bit closer to the main house than expected, but we always felt we had complete privacy in a secluded area because of the wooded area and direction of the screen-enclosed cabin. Having the option of putting the homemade cots together with the provided mattresses and blankets was an unexpected treat, so this place would work well for couples as well as pairs of singles. We loved taking the ferry out to the island and exploring our way around Whidbey after leaving the campsite. Would highly recommend to others looking to enjoy a day on the beach with a great site to rest your head for a few nights of glamping! Thank you to Bruce and Buffy for providing such a hospitable and artistic environment for us to recharge in!

Such a sweet space on Whidbey Island. You wake up staring out open screens on most sides! They have the set up for a perfect weekend getaway- firepit, grill, coffee, and nature. There's close by beaches and a great farmer's market on Saturday. I'd recommend this place to anyone!
If you're looking for a private getaway with just enough amenities, this is the perfect spot. The cabin is about 150 ft or so from the house, but when you're in the cabin, on the deck, or by the fire pit, it feels much more secluded. The private beach is a good walk down fairly step steps, but well worth it. We walked down to watch the sunset and their were a couple neighbors who built a fire on the beach who invited us to join them. We used our headlamps to go back up the steps as it was pitch dark (highly recommended).
I would recommend this Hipcamp site to everyone I know! It is a peaceful little cabin, full of everything you might need - towels, beds, coffee. A short walk down the road is a private beach, which I had all to myself. The campsite had an outdoor shower with hot water, along with a grill, fire pit, and chairs. This would be the perfect place to go for a little getaway! It is peaceful and quiet, and at night the view of the stars was gorgeous.

Staying here was wonderful. The ferry ride from Seattle is quick and easy and the directions to the site were very accurate. The cabin was even more fun to stay in than we had thought. The beds were very comfortable and the amenities provided were few but exactly what you would need. The outdoor shower was beautiful and the walk to the private beach well mapped out.
Most incredible shower of my life! The water feature was beautiful to listen to at night while falling asleep. I would definitely recommend this place to others. :)
