The hosts were kind and helpful despite the fact that we showed up late. The site is beautiful. I wouldn't say that it is quiet. You can hear dogs barking and anything that is going on outside people's houses nearby (music, conversations, etc). The acoustics of the area make it so everything echoes and can be heard clearly. If you're looking for a break from people sounds, it's not the best spot but it's pretty and the hosts are very kind. We thought it was a bit expensive relative to other places and what amenities are offered, but they were the only ones who still had availability in the area.

You are welcome back anytime! We are very sorry it was a bit noisy that weekend. There was a gathering on the property next to ours that weekend we didn’t know about until the last minute. ( which is very rare.) It’s usually much quieter here. I apologize!

The hosts met us and drove the property to show us where to stay! They were welcoming and super helpful (even just in making sure we found the place)! The space we opted for was a pasture/field with trees and greenery to provide privacy, with a trickling small creek to separate us from the house and other field. We had beautiful green mountains to look at, and a totally quiet and peaceful nights sleep. The pasture was well kept and level, we had 3 rigs (van, truck camper and a car camp) and we had space to spread out. Will absolutely come back next time we are visiting Astoria.

Beautiful location, primitive camping with no amenities, but hosts are very welcoming. Would definitely stay again
