Our 800 sq ft barn (plus a full loft above for sleeping) is perfect for family gatherings! Totally renovated, and complete with a dining table, chairs, sofas, counter space, TV with HDMI cable, Blue Ray/DVD player, and ROKU. The loft has 3 queen beds and 2 twin beds, covered with anti-microbial, waterproof mattress covers. Plenty of space for RVs or trailers in front or along the side. Can accommodate up to 12 people ($70 includes first 6 people, extra $5 per person over 6.) Bathroom is an outhouse directly behind. Fresh, delicious well water comes from a spigot next to the barn. There are several outlets and lights, Power hook-up is only 125V, great for power that doesn't include AC. Okay to run your own generator. A pellet stove and propane heater will keep you nice and warm in the cooler months. Land surrounding the barn is flat, and tents can be set up on the grass. Perfect for outside games, trees for shade and hammocks, fire pit, and swing. The barn is near our house and shop. There are no neighbors, as a cemetery occupies all the space next to the barn. It is a wonderful, old cemetery - great for walking dogs off leash or exercising. Please, limit dogs to 2 or 3. We adhere to the strictest guidelines on cleaning and disinfecting between guests. You will love your comfortable stay with us!
Don't forget to add firewood! Our kids would love to get a wagon full ready for you for only $5! You can also buy it anytime during your visit.

Perfect place for a family party.
The barn was a wonderful place to have my brother's 40th birthday party at. We had three kids in tow and they loved sleeping up in the loft room. Sue and her two sons gave us a warm welcome and were very accommodating when we needed anything. We very much appreciated their hospitality!
4 siblings going strong!
Sue made us feel like we were family! The barn was spacious and clean, with a large loft upstairs with many beds. The downstairs had a dining room table, a kitchenette area sans sink and stove, couches and a t.v. she had just put in. There were a couple of chilly nights but a gas heat and pellet heater were provided to keep us warm. We stayed for 6 days and it was a perfect fit for us! Thank you again Sue, and hopefully one day we can bring our dad to the amazing spot!
Great stay on our trip.
This was our fourth stop on the way to visit family & we knew it would be a unique experience. I think I was more excited about it than my son (16) who thought a historical barn next to a cemetery was just a bad idea. The barn was cute, and I can tell that Sue & family put a lot of thought and care into making it a cozy space. The cute black lab Maisy greeted us upon arrival as did Sue's sons and we felt right at home. The mama hen and babies were adorable to watch in the morning & my dog was even more curious as I am fairly certain he's never seen a chicken before in his life.
Pro's: Unique, Cozy, great location, pet friendly, safe, plenty of room, and the composting toilet was literally the cleanest and nicest one I have ever seen.
Con's: If you are afraid of spiders like I am, this might not be the place for you. There were a lot of spiders and webs throughout the barn which is understandable in an older space like this. We paid for a bundle of firewood but didn't receive one, and if you like to keep the door locked it's very easy to lock yourselves out of the unit like we did at 11:30pm at night on a bathroom run. Thankfully, we didn't lock the other door and were able to get back in. We also stayed during a time where it was 94+ degrees and the barn was definitely warm (although they had fans running ahead of time to cool things off) - but after about 10:30pm things started to cool and it was rather nice in there.
Overall, it was a GREAT stay, and I would definitely stay again. Sue and family were really nice.
Comfortable, spacious & relaxing!
Such a great spot - very comfortable, tons of space, nice and cool on a hot day! Hosts were so friendly, great places to walk around and just relax. Will definitely stay again next time we’re in the area!
Wonderful camping with kids!
We had a wonderful time staying at the barn: Sue and her family were incredibly welcoming and generous! The barn is close to the main house, but is separated enough to feel like we had our own space. We spent most of the time outside (tents, cooking at the picnic table), so didn’t really use the barn much. Easy drive to Lewisville Regional Park and Battleground Lake park, which are both a great place to spend a day with kids. Thanks again to the hosts: they are truly lovely people, and made every effort to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
