Near Mount Rainier National Park
Within a 30-minute drive from the Nisqually Entrance.
In 1983, I was pleased to climb Mt Rainier as a member of the US Army.  Since then I've made numerous hikes and tours all around the National Park and have yet to discover so many others! Our Ashford property is located just 5 miles from the South Entrance to the park and sits along a local wetlands area where a herd of Elk regularly migrate through.  I've awoken many times to see them camped out in are lot or passing by at dinner. We have many other local attractions.  Copper Creek (one of my favorites), machine metal sculpture museum, several local climbing taining clubs, Alder Lake, and the head waters of the Nisqually River in walking distance from our property.   Learn more about this land: OPEN Memorial Day weekend and all year - A great location near Mt Rainier in Ashford, WA! Travel Trailer with 2 additional rooms includes: kitchen, bath w/shower, 6 beds - 2 queen, 2 twin, plus extra sleeping mats as well.  Woodstove works great for indoor heat with plenty of alder seasoned firewood.  Additionally, tenting is available for the property. (See Extras) Kitchen has propane stove with 4 burners, microwave, fridge w/freezer.  Generator provides power throughout.  Propane furnace with electric forced air in trailer.  A/C available for those occasional hot days we see in July or August. This 1/3 acre lot also has a storage shed, BBQ, picnic table, 2 porch swings, 2 covered decks and an outdoor fire pit. Located in Ashford, WA along a local elk path, many times they are seen throughout the neighborhood and on the lot where you can view them up close through the sliding glass door.  Very close to Mt Rainier where a weekly pass for $30/vehicle provides limitless trails and adventures.  Additionally, the headwaters to the Nisqually river are within walking distance from the camp site and there are multiple ATV trails as well. Super quiet at night with brilliant stars miles away from city lights.OPEN Memorial Day weekend and all year - A great location near Mt Rainier in Ashford, WA! Anna's Trailer ~ Options Galore
Anna'sTrailer is that comfortable, lost old shoe that you found in the back of your closet. It's not ready for date night, but oh, so comfortable. Owner Don's attention to detail is evident throughout. The perfect spot for families on a budget. I wanted to fire up the old popcorn machine – Don supplies the popcorn, oil, and butter flavoring, but this old man was stuffed from dinner cooked on the bbq grill and his old dog had already partaken of too many treats from said dinner. I wholeheartedly recommend Anna's Trailer.

Don was very accomodating and responsive. We had a few questions about the generator and he was quick to answer. He is also very thorough and seemed to make a point to inform us about all of the ammenities.

Humble and perfect for hikers
Lovely humble stay. The home is a RV cabin converted into single family home . Enough room for at least 4ppl comfortably. It was just 2 of us and a small dog . The location is at least 40min drive from paradise hiking trials . Near a local markets and gas station . Back yard had a large stone out door fire pit. Lots of wood available. The host is attentive and responds fast . The master bed is comfortable and the indoor wood stove warms up the place nice and cozy.

Trip to Mt. Ranier
Don is an awesome host and this site has incredible charm. The trailer gave us a break from a crowded RV. Don made sure we had plenty of fuel and provisions, too. Just a great place. One issue: the neighbors aren't very friendly. There is an open field next to Don's place and we were told to stay off: "that's private property!" the neighbor said. Yes, there are still people who tell you to stay off their lawn.

Don was really nice and check on us everyday. It is really close to Mt Rainer park entrance and to some basic shops and restaurants. We visited at the hottest time of the year during record breaking heat wave and Don made sure the AC unit and ceiling fan worked. The generator can be tricky to use at times. I highly suggest having more signage on the stuff outside to make this less confusing. He had written directions but can be a lot to through. Property was great with lots of sleeping space: bed in RV and 2 twin beds, plenty of space for a tent… We would consider staying again unless we leave out dog at home.
