Great stay in the field!
I had a great experience camping on Will's land. The only issue is finding it the first time, don't use the navigation but look for the brick apartments as you head that way. Will greeted me right away and hooked me up with the firewood. He took me over to he new little brewery across the road which was really nice. I'd stay there again for sure.
Quiet and relaxing
It is a nice calm peaceful place. There is a Foodlion and Dollar Store just down the road and restaurants close by. Will even provides free firewood. It was a pleasure to stay there and Will is extremely friendly and great to talk to. It is great for wildlife photography, especially birds and very dry at night if you like to do ASTRO photography.
A fantastic getaway!!
Will was hospitable providing a freshly mowed camping spot, fire wood and a fire pit. When we arrived & were setting up Will & his friendly dog drove down to say hello & make sure we were all set up & didn’t need anything. The camp sites themselves are well maintained & are a fantastic place to go to getaway from the city & daily life or to go & spend time with family & friends. I will definitely be staying at this camp site again & highly recommend Wills camp sites.
Safe overnight stay
A big thanks to our host, Will, who kindly accommodated us for our overnight stay. Easy directions and easy parking the RV (lots of space to make a wide turn and reverse into our spot). We felt very safe here and also enjoyed walking around town a few blocks away.
Heaven for man and beast (dogs)
Great big private meadow in a part of VA where most all open land is off-limits to campers. GREAT for dogs who are tired of being leashed up at conventional campgrounds! I’ll be back!
More than just an old hay field
We had a great time staying here. Will found us a spot at the top of the hill that overlooked the rest of the property. We had the whole place to ourselves that day because it rained in the morning. It is worth noting there is a train sorta close to the property, but we didn't hear it after 6 the night we stayed there.
